Okay, someone's go to say it... THIS IS BRILLIANT!

Awesome job EnthuZ!

I'm so amazed at how cool this setup is that I am compelled to know more. Okay, here come the questions:
I'm guessing the the tie rods that you have there are ment to provent the rotation of the main support tube, right? Or is it intended to take a load?
How is the bracket that attaches to the child seat mount mounted?
Is this setup completely bolt -on?

Wow, I thought it was a good idea. Brilliant....

The stays are simply to prevent a twisting load at the B pillars. Not to support the foward crash load.

The lower stay support brackets are simply bolted to the child seat harness bolts. Low load. Just to prevent (probable minimal) bar rotation.

Yes, it is completely bolt in. Simple, no. Minimizing clearances required a bit of "fiddling".

"How is the bracket that attaches to the child seat mount mounted"

With the load path intersecting the center of the bolt head face.

How much does it weight? Can you take a picure of mirror from driver's point of view. Can you take a picture from front and rear of the car to see how noticeble the bar is.

Never did get around to weighing, sorry. I'll guess 10 lbs. total. It'll come out after Mid-Ohio, so I'll weigh it then. I wouldn't sweat the weight. It's for SAFETY!!!

Sure, I'll take more pics. Till then, I will say that my 5 ft. 10 in. body can not see the bar at all in the mirror. If your looking for bling, forget it. It's hardly noticeable. Even my red Schroth can barely be seen.

How much.......not sure. More than some. Lots of pieces.

Thanks for all the interest!

Harness bar was well received at Mid-Ohio. It's coming out tomorrow to be CAD drawn for production & costs. It'll be a couple weeks till I have final #'s, but I'm shooting for under $500.00, complete. A probable My350Z discount for pre-orders.

What colors does everyone want. Black? Dark silver, like mine? Red? Custom, to match body color? Bare metal, so consumer can do as they like? Please let me know, as a minimum quantity is needed for production.

I wish it was available now!

I'd be happy with dark silver like yours, but if production was limited to black or something I could still live with that.

Something that doesn't stick out and make cabin look smaller. Soft black.

The black I have available is Vulcan Black, with a 50% gloss. Cleaning/whipping a flatter finish will polish it. High gloss is nice, but it will stand out a bit much. I'm leaning towards a practical finish. BUT, keep the suggestions coming!

Took it out a few minutes ago, and all the pieces weighed about 8 pounds.

Fine, lets compromise-

Medium soft black with light low gloss <and> a twist of lime.

Even though the price isn't officially out, I just wish it was a little cheaper It looks top notch quality, though.
