My NEW Harness Bar!!!!

You think you're impatient?
Thanks for hanging in there, 350ed!!!!
As to the trial fit.......good enough to give the go-ahead to make 10 more, which were completed last Friday. Need to get them powdercoated though. That SHOULD happen this week.
I might make the first batch all silver, if that will speed their availability.
I'm back with the race shop.....their fabricator likes the project. He made a few improvements to ease installation.
Sooooooooooo, IF my cardboard box guy comes through, I MIGHT be ready to ship in a week or two. I'm working on the 2nd draft of the installation manual.
If all goes well, the shop is willing to make as many as I need.
We have a laser cutter lined up if demand necessitates.
Sorry for all the "ifs", I'll know a LOT more Wednesday.
Pricing SHOULD be what I've mentioned earlier.
I should be able to ship UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Or local pick-up.

Cool, thanks!
I would want something that is not so visible, so prefer black. I wouldn't buy silver fyi.
Though maybe you could sell for less if no powder coating or do custom colors (Lemans Sunset - hmmm, kinda visible )

1 vote for black, and a 1/2 vote for custom color.
I'll have to see how flexible the powdercoater is.
And, yes, I'm looking into having custom colors available.
I'm also entertaining thoughts of shipping naked!

I got my Schrothe belts from Northstar. Kevin there helped figure out my install. The Z's inner belt latch mounts to the seat frame. Racing belts should NOT be mounted to the seat, nor it's track mounting points. Something about in a wreck, if the seat becomes dislodged, the belts will still hold the diver in place. Not sure I agree with the logic, but that's what SCCA and PCA want.

Had a great day!
I have possession of 11 BCR Harness bars!
Found an awesome powdercoater, just waiting on his price.
You guys are sure boring! Black!
I thought a silver to compliment the existing accents would be cool.
I'm awaiting cost of the powdercoating, but I SHOULD be able to maintain my original quoted price. Taking a loss, as my original powdercoating cost was $0.03 per bar.
My new guy is a perfectionist. Think chrome plating. Cheap and easy to just chrome the steel. The correct way is to first copper plate, then nickel plate, then chrome plate.
This guy powdercoats that much better than most.
AND.......I picked up the BCR stickers today!!!!

ok.,. say I flip the car.. Since I'm in a 5-point harness and unable to move, My head becomes the main structure holding up the car. How is this safe again? I can certainly see why no one wants to produce them.
And PCA isn't what I would call the strictist orginization running HPDE's. Most the groups I run with do not allow harnesses without rollbars.

A friend put the first production BCR harness bar in his Track Z. It fit great! His was powdercoated "Mercedes" Silver, which looks real close to Chrome Silver. Looks good with the silver accents in the interior.

Can you give us - this with a Camera Mount?

You want to see a shot of the trick/custom/lightweight/rustproof lap timer mount?
Customers will have to supply their own painters tape and tie wraps though.
I currently have no plans to include a camera mount. I want it to look clean and simple. There are a few camera mounts for roll bars already available. Try Northstar Motorsports.

I'll be REALLY fast now. A sticker!!!!
You can be faster too!
I have proof that I'm now 2 seconds a lap faster at Blackhawk Farms. Gotta be the sticker!
