Other than myself, has anyone one considered running their Z in STU?
The class seems to have some advantages to BS and some disadvantages aswell. Such as allowing more street mods that most like to have i.e. any intake, brakes, headers, exhasut, suspension and ecu. With the only provision is tire width being limited to 275 and must be greater than 160 tread wear, meaning a street tire, cutting down on the cost of two sets of wheels and race tires.
One could also go into BSP, being open to any tire width and include dot legal race tire. But lose the poplular brake up grades.
Any thoughts? Any information on this new class would be help full as well.
Thanks

i am in B-stock now. and in my region (blue ridge region SCCA) which is in SW Virginia, there's hardly any participants in BS.
I am going to start modding the Z lightly. I will probably just go into ESP or SM2 to be in a competitive setting. nothing like getting a 1st place out of 1 car. haha.
I may do STU if there are other guys going in it.

STU is new, well came out about two months ago. street touring ultimate allows us to mod our cars like the stx class which here it and sts have the largest participation. The only major limiting factor is the tires have to be a tread wear of 140 or better.
Don't get me wrong I enjoy the BS class but its limiting on the mods I rather have (ie suspension, larger wheels, intake etc) with out jumping in to bsp and purchaseing another set of race tires and wheels. The pax time is a great advantage aswell be class is .826 and stu is .827. I looked at a freinds 350z that ran in bsp at the last event if would have ran stu he could have moved up six places mind you he is running street tires either way why not have the advantage.
Cheers Mike
