Hankook K-104
I ran them @ Thunderhill and they seemed very nice, and then I went to Laguna Seca and Crashed.
Probably wasn't the tires though. I was running with Yoko 245/40 AVS ES 100 in front and K104 245/45 in back. Hit the rumblestrip which was wet and went into a wall. Had VDC on but friction changed too quickly for the system or myself to compensate. At thunderhill, my front/rear tire combo was quite balanced and had a progressive breakaway that gave me the ability to slide a little before VDC kicked in. It was really quite fun. Laguna...well things happened much more quickly there, and it was all over before I could do anything except say No, No, No before I hit the wall.
Anyhow, car's all fixed up now.
For the past several thousand miles (even before I crashed) I had a pretty noticeable whine @ 50-60 MPH. I'm not sure if it is the K104's or the ES100's (which have 18,000 miles on them and are getting slightly feathered). At first I thought the whine was from the rear, but given the condition of my front tires, I'm no longer so sure.
One of these days I'll put my race tires on the rear only and see if the whine is still there (race tires for AutoX, track days on street tires).
Anyhow, aside from the possible whine, I like the tires, but I doubt they are as grippy as the S03 (don't know about the T1-S). They never got gummy on the track like the stock tires did, though, maybe because they are harder. Also, I got 20,000 miles on my stock rear, and these have gone another 14,000 with very little perceptible wear.
Oh, one more thing I just remembered. Back in march, right after I got my car back from the shop, I was mergin onto the highway in the rain. I got pretty hard on the throttle in second gear (from a maybe 25 MPH roll) to accelerate up to highway speed and as I crossed the paint lines and Bots Dots my rears broke loose and I got squirrely (I let off before TCS came on). I was very surprised since it wasn't like I slammed on the gas or anything, and I was a bit nervous since the last thing I needed was the car to go back in the shop. Anyhow, the point is that maybe the K104's aren't so good when they get wet.

Hankook K104 application for the Z33 currently being tested. Hope to have a tire article completed in time for the fall issue.
Sorry to hear about D'oh's "off" at Laguna Seca, but I agree with his assessment that the tires were probably not the culprit. Running over rumblestrips at a point when the suspension is loaded and/or power is being applied is bad mojo for anybody...

Just a quick update regarding my previous post.
I swapped my front tires right to left (so now they are rotating backwards, but since our rainy season is over it doesn't really matter) and the whine I talked about earlier has gone down quite a bit. The feathering was mainly on my right front tire, so I think the swap is allowing "clean" tire to be on the road.
I therefore believe that the whine was from the slightly feathered Yok and not from the Hankook.
