I think coverage for the Cup race in on May 30th. Sucks they never show it live.

 

Well, at least there is the live timing and scoring available at www.grand-am.com to keep track of the action, even if you can't "see" it.

 

I'm toying with the idea of making the 2 hr trek up to watch. Scattered showers predicted all weekend though.

350Z's 1st, 3rd & 6th in first practice!

Oops! Ended up 2nd, 3rd & 7th.

 

qualifying is a 11:30, race is at 2:00 today

 

All 3 350's were in top ten in practice this AM. 6th, 7th & 8th

 

AND THEY'RE OFF!

 

1st, 5th, & 6th! w/ 79 laps to go...

 

BJ's car takes 6th. Mike's #33 lead for a while but had problems finishing 20th. #23 22nd.

 

1st & 3rd place Caddie & Mustang booted out for illegal fuel capacity! They lost all points and $ but keep the win?

 

Its was a fun weekend.
The first this year for all 6 cyl of ours running!

The team did a great job once again.
We were able to fight from 14th up to 3rd before pitting under yellow for the final load of fuel.
Then a Mustang tagged the Neon going inot turn one and I had to take evasive actioon around the outside of the gravel trap and lost ground on the 5th 4th and 3rd (running nose to tail).

Yea I like the video. How is the new engine? What happened to the Performance cars?

 

I believe they broke axles again on both cars.
The new motor is muuuuuuch better.
Then next will be even better.\

 

BJ, I saw Michel was driving in GT in the Rolex. Is he affiliated w/ that team, or did he just pay to drive in that car? Great race!

 

He is good friends with them and they were looking for someone to fill a stint in the car. He had a lot of fun as it was his first time in a GT car.
