Default mods permitted B-Stock solo2

I'd like to do some mods but still run B Stock autocross. What can I do with: 1. suspension 2. exhaust 3. cold air induction 4. wheels/tires 4. body kit 5. anything else that mite be helpful?
Thanx

Default I run BS this past two years

Suspension:

Front sway and double adjustable shocks are free

wheeles:

Anything that will fit on the model 350Z you purchased
Touring 18x8 or the same size
Enthus 17x7 or the same size

No body kits allowed

Brakes by the model only but you could convert to any model as long as everthing is changed. Pads are free. No stainless line allowed

Someone can check me but I think I got most of it.
You can also see the rule on you local SCCA website or e mail the technical charman to check questionable items.

Good luck

We were discussing this at the last DC autox, and the opinion was that the wheel size is the same as the rest of the updating. So that means that if you want to use the Track wheels and/or brakes you have to change both. In a sense, making a Base, Enthusiast, or Touring Z a Track Z.
Still, as C Ray Z said, you should check the SCCA Solo 2 rules.

Just to clearify the above posts.

Suspension, you can change the shocks, you could run double adjustable shocks, single adjustable shocks, or nonadjustable shocks. You cannot change the rideheight. The shock travel must be within 1" of the stock shock travel.

Wheels, you must run the same size wheels that the package your car is came with.

Enthusiast can run any 17x7.5 front and 17x8 rear as long as they are within +/- .25" on the offset from the stock size, so you could run a lightweight wheel, assuming it is the same size.

Performance and 6MT Touring could run a 18x8 wheel all the way around

An auto Touring would have to run the 17" wheels.

Track can run 18x8F and 18x8.5R

If you want to run the track wheels on a non-track car you would need to upgrade EVERYTHING on the car that is different for the track model, wheels, brakes, (if you have a base or enthusiast that would also include the computer as I believe the track comes with VDC?)

Tires, pretty much any DOT approved tire, the competitive tires are Kumhos and Hoosiers (275 45 17 A3S04s are my choice).

As stated above, no body kits or CAI. You can change to a K&N drop in filter, in place of the stock filter.

Exhaust, anything from the catback.

There are a few other rules that almost no one ever uses, but there are some rules on boring out the motor to exact specs from Nissan, I've only heard of one person ever even think of doing this but I am sure there are those who have the cash to do this to a new car.

Most of all, just get out there and have fun!

Many thanx for the great info.
Not sure I'm clear on brakes. What can I use & still be B Stock legal?
Just read horror stories on stock brakes burning up on track days, which I just bought a ticket to do for 1st time. (See thread: 350Z Brakes = Not ready for track).

When people talk of burning up brakes on "track days" they're talking about open road course racing. This is where you would have a 20 minute run in the car at speeds of 100mph. In AutoX, there's no danger burning up the brakes because of the low speeds and short duration of each run. You can get better brake pads if you want but to start out, stock pads will work fine.

You can use pretty much whatever pads you want, and OEM or equivilant rotors.

As for burning up the breaks, autocross shouldn't do that to you. It's time for me to change mine, I'm at 32k miles, with over 150 autocross runs on the car.
