One of TC's pyschological tricks is to save his best for last, so being at RA for two days, jetting back and putting it on pole will work to his advantage. I would be real suprised if TC is not on pole...
To bad BJ isnt running, he was faster than TC at the June MO National....

Good Luck to all of the 350Z guys - -
"dive-bomb" - - a little thing I learnt a long time ago, and I'm sure you all have heard it before "You can't win the race in the first turn of the first lap - but you can definetly lose it"
No matter how experienced these guys are, somebody will make a dumb move in the first lap, guarenteed. the key is to avoid the wreck and then get going.

Watched the live timing and scoring, looks like there was a lot of contact in the race. TC ran as high as third and it looks like he was taken out, dropped back down to around 13-14th then worked his way up to 9th or 10th.

Mark- Any idea where on the track TC spun? I also see he got penalized one position for improper passing on the #01 Camaro. Any idea what happened there?
Looks like an exciting and contact-filled race. Was the weather good?
Thanks and wish I was there- David

David,
Not sure. I followed on the live T & S feed. He was 3rd about 4 secs. back and then the 6th place car came around in the lead.... I think he spun in 4. Not sure about the improper pass. Here is the race report.

Sounds like the Neon driver & TC got into each other battling for the lead.

Hey guys. WOW...what a race! Just got home....T2 was unreal.
TC was in the lead for a brief second and then he and Fernandez were side by side going into turn 7 (right hander off the back straight). Also, looked to me like Fernandez was hitting TC down the straight pretty bad. Thru 7, TC kept the lead (not sure how, but he did) and as they went up Madness, Fernandez hit TC from behind pretty hard, but TC kept it on the track (no spin either). then they went down the backside of madness and then right after the right hander (under the honda bridge) TC took out his frustrations on Fernandez and clearly hit Fernandez from behind. IMO, it was clear that TC had had enough of John's crap, so he was going to punt him out of the way. Only problem was, when TC hit John, it upset his Z pretty bad and he spun to the outside as Fernandez spun to the inside.
I talked to Scott Culbertson (red 64 Z) after the race and he mentioned that he had no 4th gear. Tough break!
I couldn't find Jim Rauck (blue 72 Z) after the race to find out how things went for him??
Man, those Caddies are fast down the straights. But, it was awesome to see the Z close under breaking.
Nov 28th @ 1pm EST, SPEED TV - hope the coverage is as good as being there.
Hopefully we'll see more Z's at next years runoffs. I know I plan to be there...but this time behind the wheel
Peace-out,
J

We got there just in time to catch most of the T2 race. The CTS-Vs were definitely dominating on the straights but were also clogging the turns. We were right at the turn were the SRT4 took out the Caddy. He definitely pushed him a bit but, like I said, the Caddy was getting in the way in the turns (I’m note sure of the rules in this case so I really can’t say who was wrong). They both went off on the outside but the Neon made it back to the track much faster. Everything seemed to happen quickly after that. All of a sudden it seemed like everyone was reshuffled and TC dropped way back. Didn’t see or here what happened. We figured there was a big tangle on the other side o the track; not realizing it was the Neon again. It sounds like Fernandez (Neon) is everyone’s favorite person. So thanks for the update ALong and Jason H.

Pics from www.theracesite.com I would say this is when the Neon pushed TC off.....
