i wouldnt have put em there. it woulda been cooler recessed inside the handle so it had that underglow effect. nice clean job though.

Acree - where did you purchase your SMD LEDs for the dash? I think I'd like to change mine to white. Not sure if anyone has done it yet. Thanks dude.

Hmmm that is pretty damn slick I think. Don't know what color I'd use on a SB, but on the white I like it. I would probably do the small drilling and put them on the inside like the amber ones in this thread just because I'd go subtle, but either set looks pretty freaking sweet. Nice mod man

thanks man. white would be best, unless you have a color scheme going on with your car.

Nice work bro... for those interested in doing this, here are some quick tips: 1) use a dimmer LED, this way when driving, people can see the gap between each LED...for that cleaner effect! 2) Run the wiring from inside the doors, through door grommets, under carpet, and finally have the two wires meet under the driverside dash, this way you can splice into the headlight/accessory wires...why?...so the LED's only come on when your headlights are on (and they should only be on when dark, right?) 3) Get longer life LED's, to minimize replacement intervals!

::UPDATE::

about a week ago, i got really tired of everyone being like, "damn that's bright." so i decided to replace the 3 5mm leds with 3 surface mount leds. i suspended them in epoxy in the hole. they are now a nice subtle accent instead of a safety hazard. i can post pictures if you guys want. the best thing about the new setup, the back of the handle is completely flat. now you can't feel anything, just the way it should be.

here's my thread on the sidemarkers. i actually have plans to remake them. since i made my set, i've done about 4 other sets for other z owners, and my craftsmanship has grown by leaps and bounds.
