Acree: I know this is an old thread but do you happen to put together and sell this "kit". If so, how much would you charge?

There's no way you could do a "DIY" kit. If you did, it would consist of 6 leds, 2 resistors, and some wire. Honestly, all of the work is in the labor. I might consider offering a core exchange kind of thing after I changed mine to blue.

I get my leds at mouser.com. Just search for PLCC surface mount leds. Fairchild and Lite-On are good companies.

UPDATE!

I have now made a full walk through for led door handles. Hopefully it will help some of you guys who want to do your own.

That's perfectly cool, and you're entitled to your opinion, but the LEDs only come when the dome light does. They are NEVER on while driving down the road.
