Found the solution guys...check these out and read the reviews. Some folks say they are TOO bright for the license plate. At any rate im gonna get these to replace the dim LED's i currently have as my parking/marker lights.

if you need a diy to change these bulbs, you shouldn't be touching your car. No offense to the OP.

Okay i went with these: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...87987-1-2.html

They are HELLA bright!!! Even shine light on the freaking ground below the back of the car. Ive also used these in the parking lights (almost as bright as the factory HIDs) and i got some for the interior dome lights and trunk lights. Looks phenomenal.

I did this a couple of days ago & the blue LED's were $3.99 for the pair at AutoZone. Can't imagine a cop would waste time pulling me over for the lights, thank God I don't live where the cops are huge a-HoleZ.

So I did this a couple weeks ago prior to finding this here. I have been having some issues according to a friend who was following me. Apparently one of the bulbs is flickering while driving, when I opened it up and looked to see if it was securely plugged in, it was. I don't know what could be causing the flickering. Any thoughts?

^ Time to buy a new bulb, they probably cost less than the ticket.

I'm planning on doing this very soon since one of my bulbs is fried.
I'm wondering though, what type of LED bulbs do I need? Does any work? I'm n00b with anything electrical. What kind of brightness works best?

one of my license plate lights were out and was wondering how the light can be changed. I didn't replace with a LED but with just a regular oem light. made me feel stupid for how easy it was to replace. thanks for the write up though!
