As others had mentioned in the threads that my initial search brought up, it's a pretty simple process that should take you about 10 minutes per side.

Tools: You really only need a 10mm socket (deep one if you got it), a small screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers.

Overview The picture below shows the approximate location of the fasteners that secure the skirts to the car. There are six (6) 10mm bolts and four (4) "Pop Rivets" along the bottom and ends of the skirt.

Step 1. It's probably easiest to remove the "Pop Rivets" first. There are two in the front (location #s 7 & 8 from the above picture) and two in the back (#s 9 & 10). To remove them, stick a screwdriver in one (or more) of the four slots and "pop" the center cap out. Once it's out far enough, you can remove the pop rivet.

Step 1a. For some reason (more than likely just to be a PITA) Nissan decided to use one of the Pop rivets underneath the car at the front of the skirt (#7) so you kind of have to remove that one "blind". The other three (inside the wheel wells) are simple.

Step 2. Removing the remaining 10mm bolts is very simple. If you have a "deep" 10mm socket this will make life a little easier as the handle to the driver will be below the bottom of the skirt. You can also use a phillips screwdriver if you have one the right size.

Step 3. Now that all fasteners are removed, you can start to peel the side skirt away from the car. Just like removing a door panel, you want to get the right angle and slowly pop the clips that hold the top of the skirt to the car. Start at the front of the car and slowly move backwards. The back three clips are a little different than the front ones, but pop out the same way.

That's it, you're done. BTW, here is a final picture of the inside of the skirt that may help you understand how the skirt is clipped and bolted to the car. Hopefully this helped someone.

I just removed one the other day so it's fresh in my mind, and IMO you don't need pictures for this. Take a look at your car and you should figure it out pretty easily.

Quick condensed version:
1) There are clips at each end of the side skirt, securing it to the wheel well. Use a flat blade screw driver and/or needle nose pliers to remove them.

2) There are ten or so hex-head sheet metal screws holding the bottom of the side skirt to the bottom of the car frame. Remove all of them.

3) There is a series of plastic "male" clips holding the side skirt to the side of the car frame in plastic "female" sockets, which are inside the side skirts and therefore not visible when the skirts are still hanging on the car. Start either from the front or back of the side skirt and slowly pull the skirt away from the car, so that you disengaged the "male" from "female" clips one-by-one, all the way back until they are all removed. There will be some double-sided tape where the skirt wraps into the door frame on both ends, so that will give you some additional resistance as you pull the skirt out.

Make sure to move slowly and be patient. They should come right off.

Default Sideskirt fasteners prices and sources

I know this is an old thread but I just had the need to remove my sideskirts on my 2006 roadster. After many phone calls and a little research I found out that the 2 female "grommets" are identical in all dimensions even though Nissan has 2 part numbers, the ONLY difference is color black or white. black is Nissan p/n 76848-54C00 and the white is 76848-35F00
As far as prices the dealer wants $5-7.00/ea for the black and $2-3.00/ea for the white.

Amazon sells a package of 25 of the black grommets from Auveco #22059 for $16.00 (that's only 64 cents / ea)
Amazon also sells the male clip Nissan p/n 76882-6P000 in a package of 25 from Auveco #20886 for $16.00

Auveco sells thousands of clips, screws, plastic plugs, etc you can download a catalog at their website https://www.auveco.com/auveco then click on the resources tab, then click on digital cat
