DIY: smoked tail lights (video inside)
Really glad I dl'd it before it got pulled too. I'm with the rest of the folks on needing pics of finished installs though! I've got an '03 SB that a full-on blackout would look sexxxy on, but I don't want to sacrifice safety for aesthetics.

i don't know how it compares to nite shades, but for those that can't find it any where i know of a few people that have gone to hobby stores and picked up spray tint for model cars and used it to tint headlights and tailights. it looks similar and might be easier to find. i dont have any idea how long it lasts though since its not made for outdoors. i would think that if you put some good clearcoat over it it wouldn't really matter then.
hello...i tried doing this to my rear turn signals...and when i started painting the paint started to bubble sort of...and get wrinkly...it just turned out bad...any suggestions? Is there any way to strip the paint off of plastic to try again?

The safest way is to sand it off. The bubbles happen when the surface is not completely cleaned correctly.
how do u recommend me sanding it off? Also, what is the proper way to clean them?
