do i have horn hooked up correctly? The center tab is the hot and the outer tab in yellow i connected to the outer metal ring that also has a tab?? so basically the wire in pic connects the horn button outer tab to the metal ring tab? or does it have to be grounded to something else not the support ring? Its a momo wheel

figured out the horn setup once i read the quick release instructions. I am having trouble with the harness provided in the works bell short hub. Mine has 2 wires coming out of the harness adapter (red and black), most images show only one coming out of the harness. Is the black wire in my harness the (+) ? and if so where do i plug in the red wire?

In this DIY OP has one wire coming out of the harness and another example in the images i have has 3 wires coming out.

MY HARNESS AND HOW I PLAN TO CONNECT

SAMPLES OF OTHER HARNESS ADAPTORS

pictured from left to right: [left] hub horn wires [top right] supplied work connection [lower right] is the 07/08 OEM steering wheel connection.

Installed the left and top right to have the horn intermittently work. i took it all apart and recognized the wires are different on the connectors.

Question: Would I be using the OEM connection and pairing the black and red to the hub horn's black and read?

thanks

I just used the black cable which is 3rd slot and is power wire on the work harness. That I ran to the red wire of hub. The red wire on the work harness was not used on mine. This was on an 05' base tho. Just like pics above your post

Thanks for the help!

I double checked my wiring which seemed to be good! Verified this back tapping the two wires together to get a honk from the horn. Once I did that, I turned to the horn button itself and made sure after connecting the steering wheel that the wires would still give off a honk if tapped together. I got a honky therefore I had to pop the button out and reseat it to make contact with the grounding ring!

I'm looking to swap out my OEM wheel with a re-wrapped one I picked up from a guy in Germany. Did this ever get solved? as I will need to carry these over to the new one. Thanks!

This worked great! thanks for the great write up!

No lights came on, and the horn works. I need to open it up again i think I'm going to install my cruise control again and wire into the dash.
