Default 03-06 Halogen instalation on stock HID car

mod plz change my title to the "DIY" sry totally forgot... my first guide on here.

So, I ran into a situation myself, I wanted new look on my lights, and my buddy bought some black lights off ebay which looked amazing, but 1.- they're Halogen, and 2. They aren't compatible with stock HID car connector (HID= 8 pin, halogen =6pin).
With this guide you can:
Install 6pin light on an 8pin (OEM HID) car
Convert 6pin none HID compadible light into an HID light
See a diagram of the 03-06 wiring harness for the lights connector= highs/lows/turn signal/park light.

After much much research, there isn't really a good guide out there that shows you how to wire these,. Since you have to connect the 8 pins to the 6 pins, obviously it isn't a plug and play. Still its fairly simple.

Examples of what I purchased and what you'll need:

03 04 05 06 Nissan 350Z Z33 Black Projector Headlights ---- by lokakech2nd on ebay. (Fast shipping, arrived packaged nicely).

And the HID conversion kit:
Digital SLIM HID KIT by Xentec. seller: carpartswholesale88, also ebay. I went with 6k light, and size of bulbs was H7 since thats what's used for low beam in those headlights.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOUR BULB SIZE MATCHES W/E you have in your lights, or it just won't fit.

Tools needed: (will update with pictures later)
Electrical tape
Scissors
Pliers
Screw drivers
Zip ties
Drill kit
Tools to take your front wheels off (look up other DIY guides on how to jack up your car correctly).

Ok. So you have 2 choices. I can show you how to just wire the lights to your existing connector on the car, you'll have halogen highs/lows turn signals, and park lights all working. Or option 2, you buy the conversion kit, and get HID's for 50 bucks more!!! I will post pics in comparison with those Halogen to 6k HIDs.

You can in fact get BI Xenon on these headlights, but I don't see the need for that.
Start: Each side will take you from 20 mins to about 2 hours,.
1. Do 1 side at a time, start on drivers cuz its easier to test since your closer to the drivers seat.
**Disconect** the "-" on your battery at all times when working with wires!!!! IMPORTANT!!
2.Take off the wheel, and keep the car jacked up.
3 etc. Locate both connectors, the wire harness from the car (8pin) and the connector on the light itself. Take off the connector off the light, it shoud just slide down.
* Use a very small screwdriver to take apart the connector on the light, You have 6 wires total. There's 2 ground wires, Hi beam +, Low beam +, turn signal + and park light +. Its very easy to figure out which one is for which, because you can see where the wires lead to, so use the same screw driver to pull those wires free and just kind of let them hang there.
* Now the car harness is a bit more trickier and complicated. Apperently not all colors are same on different cars, so do the same, take apart the connector but DO NOT take out the wires or you won't know which wire is for what.
* Car wire harness connector: 2 Grounds (black) + high, +low, +lowbeam, +turn signal (and 2 others which im not sure what they're for, something for OEM lights LOL, but they're not needed to get the lights working perfectly).
* Find a good solid mounting spot for the Balast and the Ignitor you got from the kit.
The way I connected wires to each other was just with electrical tape, and then put them into a little electrical box and zip tied it to frame. You can just buy another 8pin and put the wires into it and etc etc, but I didn't feel the need to do that.
* So what you do, is just connect wires to each other, make sure not to go cheap on electrical tape, then connect battery, test (turn low beam/turn signal/high etc) then DISCONNECT BATTERY again before you get back to work.
* Take out the stock light bulb, and put in the HID one, then use a big drill bit to drill a hole in the cap that covers the bulbs on the light. Make sure to do that at another location, u don't want bunch of plastic scraps all over the light. Make the hole just big enough to put the wires/connectors through. Then you can just use a rubber seal on the lights and that way it insulates any dirt from getting into the light itself. Then just connect everything, make sure to use a good amount of electrical tape, and insulate everything well. Don't be messy, just keep in mind you might need to take it apart in case you need to change the bulb or something.
** TAKE YOUR TIME WHEN DOING THIS! Rule of thumb, take your time, take pictures, and just be careful when working with electrical components.
* Drivers side took me about an hour, because there was no diagrams or no guides, so I had to pull up the wiring diagrams from nissan etc etc. So figured I'd do this to make other's life easier.
Why would you want to do this? Well simple, if you don't have $1200 to spend on lights, and you need lights, (accident, something broke etc etc) or you just plain want the black light look off Ebay. This shows you how to get any lights and to convert them into HID compadible, and how to wire the 6pin to the 8pin.

Here's pictures, they're self explanatory, as well as the diagram by me on the which connection wire is what.

(will upload pictures when I'm home, just remembered I forgot my mem card at home... rolf).

Question Upload photos please

Hi,

I only wanted to fit the halogen type light to my existing Stock HID. Dont want to put another HID kit in it - How do I do it. Itis that easier to rewire> I just dont want to stuff around drilling into the housing or mounting another hid ballast again.
