Sup guys

so i want to put race seats in my 06 Z
having looked at my fav brand sparco.. i found the exact plain black look i want and with my luck they were the cheapest ones that ive found

but heres where i run into a problem im sure someone can fix easily

once i buy these seats i understand you need the hardware kit x2 around 10$ i think

Sliders x2

and a seat bracket x2

my question is for this particular seat the R100 im guessing ...do i need a certain type of sparco seat base AND slider? and will i have any problems fitting them into my Z?

if so what seat bracket do i need or are they all universal?
id like to order all of it at once so any help would be AWESOME

The 500 style is height adjustabe which you won't need because they are a pretty tight fit as it is. They actually sit taller than stock seats.

 

I got the megan racing brackets. The specs are the same and they're like half the price. They work just fine with my Sparco Fighters.

Just type "megan 350z seat mount" on ebay and they'll come up. I paid like 120 for a pair of them which is about what sparcos are apiece which is stupid considering it's just a freakin chunk of metal with some holes in it. Any way, happy hunting.

 

Let me help you out cause I was really confused when I first got my seats. Theres three parts under the seat: base(bottom), sliders(middle), and seat bracket(top). The bracket attaches to the seat. Some seats have bottom mount holes and some have side mount holes so for that you would need side mount brackets. Each seat has different mounting so you would have to find that out yourself. Sliders are all the same nbd. For the base you have to make sure that you get one with the correctly spaced holes for your specific seat brackets. Some bases are universal mount to the sliders but when you get the base it has to be specific for the car. It bolts into the four holes in the floor you cant just get any base. The base you get determines how high your seat is. I got a Sparco base for my Sparco Fighter seat and I sat at pretty much stock height. If you wanna sit higher or lower do your research for different bases and look around the forum

 

i have megan and have seen sparco brackets. def not the same but you can make it work. megan sits a big high, even higher than sparcos.

 

aight well i want those sparcos so ill prolly order them and then i guess see how they mount to the bracket ...then just get any ole slider i guess and see if i can make megans work....is the height like redic? or no

 

FYI: R100s are bottom mount.
