Default Sparco seat base dilemma

I sold my black and silver Sparco Torinos for a different look. My plan was to buy another set of Sparcos in all black with new bases and sliders. Sparco no longer sells passenger seat bases for AT 350Zs. Does anyone have any experience with the brand Planted Technology? That's seems to be my only option. Thanks guys

Planted makes a pretty good product and there are a number of threads on here with folks who use them. I used them to install my Cobra Sebring seat.

I actually had a sparco and a planted manual passenger seat base at the same time and it looked like the planted base was a direct copy of sparco's.

The planted looked well made and I wouldn't be afraid to use it.

I have a planted drivers and pass bracket installed...they are definitely very sturdy and fully boxed in, I feel safe using them....just keep in mind you may have to do some drilling depending on the type of side mounts you buy and the seat width/seating position...I had to drill one hole in each bracket to get the side mounts further back.

They arent as low as they could go and if you are tall get custom brackets made to extract the extra 1-1.5in you may need. I am perfectly positioned, but if I had halo bar I may want that inch (running weld-in 4-pt atm).

Also because the cross beams are wide so they may not allow the seat to pivot all the way (again depends on your seating position) if you have the seat mounted low on the side mounts (it will bottom out on the cross beams).

No room to mount an eye bolt for the crotch straps, even though you should be using a reinforced anchor anyway, and for a 6pt youd have to position them further aft anyway.

You probably already purchased and it sounds like you arent running a fixed back seat, but wanted to chime in for others. Definitely a great bracket.

Thanks for the response. I ordered them but have not installed anything yet. I bought the Sparco R100 seats to go along with my Sparco harness bar and Sparco 4 point harness. I'll post an update once I install everything.

Awesome. I know there are reclinable seats that have a 5th slot for an anti-sub strap. Maybe in the future that would be worth considering if you find yourself on track a lot.
