AEM Infinity 03-06 350Z and G35 Plug and Play kit

The Infinity Plug & Play programmable ECU for the manual transmission 2003-’06 Nissan 350Z/Infiniti G35 (Infinity-8 PN 30-7110 and Infinity-10 PN 30-7107) includes an application-specific start-up calibration and connects via a Plug & Play harness (sold separately, PN 30-3520) that is designed to fit in the factory location (requires AEM bracket on G35 models, PN 30-5936). Begin by determining which Infinity ECU will best support the ancillary components in your manual transmission Nissan 350Z/G35 using the Infinity Specifications Chart (see "Specs" tab). The M/T 03-06 Nissan 350Z/G35 Plug & Play Infinity ECUs have unique part numbers and include several unique features that incorporate the Nissan factory electronics system

Complete Stand Alone Engine Control
The Infinity ECU combines with the Plug & Play harness to replace the 350Z/G35’s factory ECU. It controls all of the engine functions including up to four cam variable cam control (VQ35DE-RU) and the Drive by Wire (DBW) system. An AEM MAP sensor (sold separately) is required for proper operation of the Infinity ECU on this application.
Plug & Play Harness with Expansion Port
AEM’s sealed, weatherproof Plug & Play harness (sold separately) includes dual Lambda connectors, an AEMnet connector for communication with other AEMnet enabled devices and an auxiliary connector with a Deutsch DTM 12P connector for adding common aftermarket sensors. Visit the "Features" tab for more information about the 350Z/G35 Infinity Plug & Play harness expansion port.

Nissan 350Z/Infiniti G35 Plug & Play Harness with Expansion Port
Once you have determined which Infinity ECU will best support your Nissan 350Z/G35, you will need to purchase the Nissan 350Z/G35 Plug & Play adapter harness (PN 30-3520). AEM’s engineers have designed the Infinity ECU and harness to fit in the Nissan 350Z/G35 factory ECU location to maintain overall weather resistance of the electronics and deliver a clean look in the engine compartment.

PLEASE NOTE: Infiniti G35 MT owners will require a custom bracket that will allow the Infinity to fit in the factory ECU location. AEM manufactures this bracket and the part number is 30-3596. This bracket is not required for the Infinity to fit in the 350Z factory ECU location.

Uses Factory Wideband Sensors
On 2004.5-up VQ35DE and VQ35DE-RU 350Z/G35 models, the Infinity is able to use the factory wideband air/fuel ratio sensors, eliminating the need for additional sensors and cables. A fuse and relay for battery positive is integrated into the adapter harness for models that require ancillary wideband sensors.

Map Switching via Cruise Control Buttons
For 350Z/G35s equipped with cruise control, AEM incorporated the Infinity’s map switching capability into the factory cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, eliminating the need to wire in and mount an ancillary position switch. Using InfinityTuner software, users can now select from 8 modes for boost control maps, fuel maps, timing maps and Lambda target, and select maps on the fly using the factory cruise UP (ACCEL/RES) and DOWN (COAST/SET) toggle button.
To ensure that drivers know which mode they are in when not connected to the Infinity ECU, when the vehicle is keyed ON the tachometer moves to a specific RPM point to indicate which map the Infinity is using (for example 3k RPM indicates Mode 3, 4k RPM indicates mode 4, etc.). When the driver changes maps while driving, the tachometer will momentarily change from revs to the RPM point that indicates the switched mode and then resume normal tachometer operation. Actual engine RPM will not be affected during this brief period.

Three-Step Rev Limiter
Users can configure the 350Z/G35’s CRUISE ON/OFF as a temporary three step limiter switch through the InfinityTuner software (vehicle speed or time after launch dependent), and can set rev limits at specific rpm by points or set a flat limiter and use it as an RPM hold for launches.

Traction Control
The Infinity is able to use the 350Z/G35’s factory wheel speed/ABS sensors for traction control via fuel cut, spark cut, spark retard or retracting DBW throttle response in 350Z/G35s equipped with factory cruise control, eliminating the need to install additional sensors for traction control (in applications without cruise control, these functions can be incorporated through the 12 pin auxiliary port on the plug & play harness with a trim position switch).
The cruise control CANCEL button can be configured as a traction control enable or disable button through the InfinityTuner software. Users can define a specific slip target for traction control in the software and turn it on or off using this button, or set two slip targets and use it for a mild and aggressive traction control strategy.

User Definable DBW Throttle Response
Users can define throttle curves in the InfinityTuner DBW software and take full control of throttle response. Using an ancillary switch via the 12 pin auxiliary port, drivers can change throttle response rate on the fly via two DBW settings (ideal for setting rain mode throttle curves).

Communicates with Factory CAN bus
The Infinity ECU communicates with the 350Z/G35’s factory CAN bus system and retains full functionality of the tachometer, speedometer, coolant temp gauge, fuel economy meter, MIL light, coolant fan control and vehicle speed sensors. On 350Z/G35s using Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), the Infinity is able to log steering angle and brake pressure.
200MHz Processor and Real Time Operating System
Late model vehicle ECU’s all run on faster processors. The Infinity ECU is built around a latest-generation 32 bit floating point 200MHz automotive processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS), which is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second). By comparison, common competitive systems typically use 20MHz to 50MHz processors. To our knowledge, the Infinity ECU currently has the fastest processing speed of any aftermarket Motorsports ECU available. This allows the Infinity to do more, faster, in a more stable programming environment.

• The Infinity’s 200MHz processor and RTOS makes the Infinity more responsive, for a better driving experience
• The Infinity’s 200MHz processor and RTOS allows for more accurate ignition timing, which enables an engine to create more power
• The Infinity’s faster processor allows it to perform more computational features with no sacrifice in processing performance
• The Infinity’s RTOS ensures strategic processing with optimized load balancing. This means that tuning one feature will not affect the performance of another feature

Water/Methanol Kits
THE AEM WATER/METHANOL INJECTION SYSTEM ADVANTAGE
Water/methanol injection for forced induction (turbocharged or supercharged) gas-powered race engines is a proven means for effectively reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation. This allows racers to reliably increase boost and advance ignition timing—without using high-octane racing fuel—for power gains of up to 20%. AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection Systems utilize the most robust hardware combined with more advanced features than any other comparably priced water/methanol system.

Robust, Easy to Use Controller Designs
The new controller designs (Boost Dependent Kit PN 30-3300 & Multi Input Kit PN 30-3350) feature large, turn-resistant ***** and larger numbering to easily set accurate start and full activation points, with covered status LED and test buttons for added splash resistance. A plug is integrated into the controller housing for mating to the redesigned wiring harness’s positive-lock connector. The Boost Dependent controller housing has a molded-in, barbed nipple to accept a boost hose and a wiring legend on the back. Both controller housings feature an easy to access integrated fuse and molded mounting tabs.

Simplified Wiring
AEM’s Water/Methanol Injection kit’s wiring harness is terminated with a positive-lock connector on one end and has color-coded wires to ease installation. Both the power and ground wires for the pump are included in the harness which simplifies the wiring process and eliminates any chance of the pump accidentally activating from a short in the system. An additional wire is included for adding an optional on/off solenoid to stop fluid flow when the system is inactive.

Integrated Boost Safe Feature
The controllers in AEM’s Water Methanol systems include an integrated “Boost Safe” output feature that monitors the entire injection system and triggers a ground signal via an output if it detects a voltage-related error (short, bad connection, broken wire, overheated pump, high or low voltage signal, etc.), allowing users to define their failsafe strategy from something as simple as flashing a warning light to more advanced strategies like pulling boost or ignition, or switching fuel maps on a standalone engine management system. Combined with the integral and highly accurate conductive low-fluid switch in the tank, “Boost Safe” can also put your engine in safe mode before the system runs dry. This exclusive feature is found only on AEM Water/Methanol Injection Systems.

Heavy-Duty High Pressure Injection Pump
AEM’s internally-bypassed water/methanol injection pump does not cycle on and off and provides quiet, smooth operation. It features robust construction including integral hose fittings, EPDM seals and a Santoprene diaphragm that provides consistent and reliable fluid delivery

Low-Profile 1 Gallon Tank
AEM’s gas Water/Methanol Injection Systems are available with or without a compact 1 gallon tank. A more accurate, conductive low level fluid sensor is integrated into the tank and features a positive lock connector with color-matched wires to the wiring harness. The sensor eliminates any chance of incorrect readings due to interference from debris.

Revised Flow Control Strategy for More Linear Fluid Delivery
AEM’s engineers spent extensive time revamping the controller’s flow control strategy for a more linear flow output delivery. This means that the flow delivery better matches an engine’s need for water/methanol injection, which further optimizes charge air cooling and detonation control.
• Boost Dependent and Multi-Input (0-5v/frequency) progressive controller designs feature large adjustment *****, integrated plug for harness connection, integrated fuse, covered status light and test button for enhanced splash resistance and mounting tabs

Digital Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge

AEM’s legendary Digital Wideband O2 AFR UEGO Gauge is a wideband UEGO air/fuel ratio controller (AFR) and gauge in one. It unites accuracy, speed and control with an easy to read, digital LED display and sweeping LED “needle” that changes colors as AFR changes from rich to lean.
NOTE: The 30-4100 Wideband UEGO Gauge Controller that uses the Bosch 4.2 LSU sensor has been superseded to the 30-4110 Wideband UEGO Gauge Controller that uses the Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor.

WHAT IS A WIDEBAND UEGO AIR/FUEL CONTROLLER?
AEM's Wideband UEGO (Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen, pronounced “You-Way-Go”) Controllers are powerful, cost effective tuning tools that allow users to accurately monitor the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) of their engine.

WHY USE A WIDEBAND AIR/FUEL CONTROLLER?
Accurate AFR data is critical when tuning an engine. Running rich (very low air/fuel ratio, excessive fuel) can cause a loss in power, while running too lean (very high air/fuel ratio, not enough fuel) may result in serious engine damage. Using a wideband air/fuel controller during the tuning process allows you to monitor AFR and adjust tuning parameters to optimize them for maximum power and efficiency. AEM has a comprehensive line of highly accurate, reliable wideband air/fuel controllers that can help ensure your vehicle is optimally tuned.

WHAT IS FREE-AIR CALIBRATION?
Some of our competitors require that you frequently perform a free-air calibration procedure to calibrate their O2 sensors. This process involves removing the sensor from the bung while still connected to the controller device, then waving the sensor in the air so it can read atmospheric O2 levels. We use Bosch 4.9 LSU sensors in our wideband controllers. Our sensors are individually laboratory-calibrated by Bosch and never require free air calibration!

CAN I CHANGE THE AEM UEGO SENSOR’S CONNECTOR?
No. There is a laser-etched, calibrated resistor in the sensor’s connector body. This resistor is specifically created for the exact sensor that it is attached to. Modifying this will invalidate the sensor’s output.
Our World-famous Wideband O2 air/fuel ratio UEGO gauge features a digital LED display and sweeping LED 'needle' that changes colors as AFR changes from rich to lean. A 52mm (2-1/16") gauge housing ensures that it will fit in most gauge pods and can be remotely mounted virtually anywhere. All AEM digital gauges feature a 0-5v analog output for use with data loggers and almost any engine management system. Each gauge comes with black and silver bezels and black and white faceplates for multiple color combinations and a custom look (a black Lambda faceplate and black and white Air/Fuel Ratio faceplates).

The Bosch UEGO sensor gives the controller its speed and accuracy. The Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor used in the 30-4110 AEM Wideband UEGO AFR Controller Gauge has a faster light off time and draws less current than the 4.2 LSU sensor used with AEM’s discontinued 30-4100 Wideband UEGO Controller Gauge. The 4.9 LSU sensor features the same fuel compatibility as the 4.2 LSU and NEVER requires free-air calibration when used with AEM’s 30-4110 Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge. The 30-4110’s 4.9 LSU sensor uses a different connector than the connector used with the 4.2 LSU sensors included with the original, discontinued 30-4100 gauge controller. The sensors are not interchangeable between the two gauge controllers in any way, including changing connectors on the gauges.

The Wideband O2 air/fuel ratio UEGO gauge is a must if you want to maximize your engine's power and safety. When tuning an engine, accurate air/fuel ratio data is critical because running with too rich of an AFR can cause a loss of power, and running a lean AFR can result in serious engine damage. AEM's digital Wideband AFR UEGO gauge can quickly alert you to even a .1 change in air/fuel ratio and provide enough time to shut down an engine before damage occurs.

• Interchangeable black and white faceplates included for customizing gauge appearance (digital gauges only)
• Bosch 4.9 LSU wideband sensor and weld-in bung included (PN 30-4110)
• No free air sensor calibration required - ever
• Interchangeable black and silver bezels included

Wideband Failsafe gauge

AEM's Wideband Failsafe Gauge provides the ability to accurately tune AFR, while actively protecting your engine by constantly monitoring AFR curves and activating a user-defined failsafe strategy if it runs lean.
The Wideband Failsafe Gauge is a Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen (UEGO—“you-way-go”) controller with an internal boost sensor, an internal data logger and a full color Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. It includes technology to activate a failsafe strategy in the event AFR falls outside of a user-defined operating window. If the AFR falls outside of the set operating window, the Wideband FAILSAFE Gauge triggers a user defined output function that can save an engine from catastrophic damage.
This gauge is a must have for all tuned performance engines, either forced induction or naturally aspirated, fuel injected or carbureted. Any high performance vehicle owners who want a highly accurate AFR tuning tool with internal data logging and a protection strategy that can save an engine from catastrophic failure will want this Failsafe device.

Since the Wideband Failsafe Gauge is a wideband AFR controller with an internal boost sensor (up to 29 PSIg), it is able to display AFR and either boost or vacuum in real time on a vibrant Organic LED screen. It also includes an on board data logger that records AFR, RPM* and boost/vacuum and can be downloaded and viewed in AEMdata analysis software. The gauge includes a low side output for triggering a failsafe strategy in the event AFR falls outside of the operating window, and an RPM input* to log RPM for tuning purposes.

The gauge’s failsafe strategy is completely user definable, from something as simple as making the gauge flash to using the ground output to trigger a check engine light, to cut boost, retard timing, or even switch to a safety map using a standalone engine management system.
The Wideband Failsafe Gauge’s software simplifies the interface set up. Choose displayed parameters (AFR, boost or vacuum) on the center OLED screen and bar graph, set the alarm flash mode and adjust the gauge’s lighting for a custom look, then install the correct faceplate to match your configuration (6 faceplates to choose from).
