So you didn't have to add clearcoat to protect the paint? Might be worth the extra protection...

 

Just want to say thanks for the idea and the writeup. I bought the blue duplicolor paint and it looks great, even on my crappy stock calipers. I was sore as hell from being bent over for a few hours, but it looks good in the end.

 

Actually, the Brakes will turn from that Gold color to a Brownish color. Ive seen this happen many times.

 

did you use clear coat or just the red paint?

 

wow ... not too bad .... at first i was like why would you paint over that nice color but it came out good

 

Seems like a lot of people are asking about clear but nobody that has gone through with this has actually used it. Is there a reason for that?
I can't imagine using a high temp clear would cause any issues
