not really... it adds extra time to take them off which is always bad for thieves.

unless they had four of these tools they will be stuck pulling out the old lug before moving on to the next, not sure how hard it is to remove them but I doubt the thief is going to be carrying a vice with them to hold the lug while they remove the tool.

nice write up. i lost my wheel lock last week. I searched everywhere like a freakin mad man and i finally gave up and was forced to order another key.

My Mc Gard key shattered inside the lock.. had to take it to the shop since i dont have an impact gun.

None of that old garbage works on modern nuts. If these outdated tricks worked then they wouldn't be security Lugs, would they? Modern security nuts have a rotating outer ring to stop this pre-historic trick.

sometimes its a matter of making it 'harder' for a thief to steal your wheels…if someone really really really wants your wheels…they will get them.

use common sense people…dont rely on locking lugs to protect your wheels…
