Tein Basic and Tein Flex
I know this is not the forum for this but it is kind of a performance thing because I want to know if the basic's will be good enough for someone that does not do alot of tracking, just the dragstrip, and don't want to spend the money on flex because they look like the same thing basically except for the efdc. I mean, if you guys think it is worth the extra money to go with the flex's then I will, but if basic's will be about the same, then I will go with them. Thanks

There is actually a lot of differences between the Flex and the Basics. The most noticable is the design of the shocks, then you have damping adjustability with the Flex where the Basics do not, the Flex comes with upper pillow ball mounts and the spring rate is very different between the two. Basics are 504/504 and Flex 672/672, both linear. But the Basics is a very good suspension setup too, even if you do not track a lot, you can still have some fun with it if you decide to go one day. I think the Basics would be the way to go for you.

basic's definatly best for you...
you do not want too high of a spring rate in the rear if you are dragging the car too!

I just went with the Basics. I got them because:
-I'm a street driver
-Track not occasionally(not much)
-Softer
-Price
-Quality
-Height adjustability.
The Flex's are too much $$ for me right now. By the way i've heard better complements about the Basics than the Flex
Nothing but positive comments on the Basics. Don't get me wrong though, those Flex are still tempting. I know people who daily drive on them as well.

If i want to install Basic on my G, do i also need to buy the camber kits or something , i've heard about lots of comments that i do need to buy the camber kits and something to fix the negative camber. Is that true???

Here is a link to the products spoken about...
You do not need a camber kit... That is only if you want to get the alignment back to factory spec or even more positive camber... the G35 / 350Z already has negitive camber from the factory... the added little bit of negitive camber will not increase tire wear soo much...
save your money an x-rotate your tires rather then spend it on camber arms etc....
