Default another painted calipers thread (pic)

Here a pic of my recently painted caliper. I have to admit, the G2 caliper system worked better than I thought it would. I had spray painted the calipers before, but the paint tended to dull or darken with use. I only wish that the paint wasn't so expensive.

The brembo logo is painted on using a stencil. I had to buy that as well, and it was kinda pricey at $10 a pair, but that's life.

I have other pics, but I have to get them from my digital camera.

Thanks for the compliment. It took me a long time to finish everything.

First day is applying the G2 paint. And it needs a long time to cure. A lot longer than the spray paints that I've tried before. The instructions say 24 hours. Then I painted the brembo logo after about 48 hours. Then finally I did a thin layer of clear enamel over the logo to help protect it. About 2 weeks later, I finally had to time to go back and polish the caliper with buffing wheels. I wanted to smooth out the clear enamel over the logo. I also polished the rest of the caliper where there wasn't any clear enamel, but it was already pretty shiny from the G2 paint.

So this is after about 2-3 weeks of driving around with lots of brake dust kicked up. That G2 paint definitely is holding up.

I only used up 2/3rds of the paint for the two rear brembos and 1 front brembo. The front calipers came with red powdercoat, but one of them had some damage, so I repainted it. I also touched up a few spots on the other front with the paint. Amazingly, the red from the G2 is a perfect match for the original red powercoat.

The 3.25" are perfect for the front, and the 2" just fits on the rear.

This is the only place that I know has them. Maybe there's somewhere cheaper, but I don't know.
