My Hawk hps are giving off a lot more dust then usual

when i first swapped out my front brake pads w/ hawk hps i loved how there was soo much less brake dust then the stock pads.. but lately i've been getting a lot more dust then usual.. does this mean it's time to swap them out for new ones?

that kinds happened to me long time ago then it stops.
now no dust any more but it makes noise now...
