Default Alignment settings on HKS Hypermax suspension

Hi all,

I am going to have a local shop install my coilovers next week, however after reading some posts from this board, I am alittle confused as to whether I will need a camber kit in order to keep the alignment setting close to factory. What if I don't buy a camber kit, what will happen?

Another question is if I play around with the height settings, is it something I can do myself in my garage? If so, will it affect my alignment settings?

Thanks for the reply!

Gary

An alignment is needed after each height adjustment (Adjusting is very easy). You will definetly need a camber correction kit in order to bring everything back to spec. Without a camber kit, you will experience inside tire wear.

IF I don't run a camber kit, how much negative camber will I be getting? What is a bearable camber setting w/o a camber kit considering tire wear...etc ? After all, having a little negative camber is good for sports/autox/track day driving isn't it?

It all depends how much you drop your car. You should still be ok if drop from 0" to 3/4". If you drop more than 3/4" you alignment will not be able to go back to stock settings. I dropped my car 1" in front and 3/4" in the rear and my front has -1.5 in camber. My rear is still in spec and has a -2.0 in the rear.
