i'll take pics of my setup either tonight or tomorrow when i have daylight.
its interesting that they couldnt get it done for you. i would look at the regional forums to see what shop they reccomend. i know that i can my Z in dead on oem spec without any rods or bolts. those will just make it easier actually.

I've called so many places it's crazy. All I hear is we don't have the specs for a 350Z. I'll find one eventually. It stinks being **** about having your car worked on. Sorry for venting.

I'm sure I'll have feathering now. Being that my steering wheel is turned an inch to the left to go straight.

I do appreciate all the help you guy have given me.

I don't have any pics of the rear with me. I feel confident saying that I had it just as good by eye as they did with the machine. Does anyone have pics of what a good alignment on the rear looks like? How far off the ground are your rears on the outside edge? I don't remember the tires being off the ground on the outside. The extra 1/2 inch of width can't make that much difference....can it?

Should I put the OEM parts back in since I'm not lowered and shouldn't need the extra adjustment the SPC parts give me?

THANKS,
Dan

I stopped and looked at some new Z's last night and the camber is not that obvious. The edge of the tire is definetly not off the ground. They should not have had any problem with this alignment. I think the guy doing it wasn't all he could be....if you know what I mean. I elongated the entire toe bolt hole to the SPC template and will see what they can do. I need to have the AC noise TSB done anyway so I might as well take it in. What more could go wrong.......wait don't answer that.

daytona350z I would be interested in some pics of a well aligned car. Are you lowered or running bigger wheels/tires? THANKS.

konspec these rods and bolts are very nice and easy to install. I just got lucky and had a crappy dealer experience. Go to a regular alignment shop and it will be fine. The instructions are good except I had to loosen my sway bar to remove top bolt on the rods...they don't mention that. A dremel tool with the #115 bit makes the hole elongating go very quick. If you have the flexible end for the dremel it would be even easier. 10 minutes to eolongate 30 minutes to jack up and get the bolts out.

Never thought something this easy would turn into this. Oh well it's all good. I'll just drive the pickup for a few more days.

gatorz, i have a question about elongating the lower arm hole to accept the cam bolt. was it hard to get the dremel tool on the inside of the hole(on the swaybar mount side)? it seems as though it would be hard to fit a dremel in there, or is this bit you used long enough to fit through both holes it once?

thanx,
-justin

Yes it is difficult to get it past the sway. I have one of the smallest dremels. I believe there are different models. They also make a flexible attachment. It can be done though. Just have to put the bit through the hole before you turn it on then be vary careful when you turn it on and then pull it back to do the hole. Turn off and then remove from the hole. Hope I explained that well enough.

protocav has a pdf file on this site someplace that gives you instructions with great pics. He used the flexible attachment.

I'm back in today to get the alignment done again. PRAY FOR ME.

Well the alignment went well. Other than they charged me $120. They charged me for there first failure as well. Turns out they never needed me to elongat the outside(wheel side) of the toe bolt holes. So they could have gotten it right the first time. So I figured since it was going back I would get the one TSB that I know I needed taken care of, done. The noise when you turn on the AC. No more noise from the AC......................Because it doesn't work now. I turned it on to see if the noise was gone before I left the dealer and it was.......but the air stayed as warm as a summer day. I didn't have time to go back and *****. Plus I don't think it has any effect on them. What a group of losers. Dealerships charge the most and know the least. I'll go back until it's fixed. But unless I have a major warranty issue my car will NEVER see another dealership service department after that. Can't wait to get that survey paper from Nissan asking about my service experience.

The alignment specs are on my desk at work or I would give them to you. But they are damn good. rear is like -1.37 camber and .01 toe for a total of .02. Yes that good.

Thanks to all who have shared in this thread with me. You've been a big help.
