Here is Final (3rd month) update on the Project Mu B-Force pads.

I wanted to make sure I give full/timely update.

Well, it has been 3 months since I had installed Project Mu B-Force Pads.

Here is the summary:

Noise: Like I posted before, I do have a little squeak here and there. Its usually on a light braking but I never heard any squeaks during hard braking. Once again no major issue. I can deal with little squeaks here and there for the performance.

Dust: Very low dust. It definitely produces far less dust than stock and just tad more dust than Hawks.

Performace: Same as previous posts. It still bites great. Far superior than Hawks or Ceremics.

Conclusion: Once again, I think this was the best pads I used so far. It out performs all pads I previously used. I would definitely buy these pads again but than again, I like to try different things so I may try Endless pads next time.

Does anyone else have any other updates on Project Mu pads?

Please post you experience with these pads.

I would like to see if mine was isolated case.

Just like the Hawks, I did not have any issues with squeaks but I know many forum member that hads issues with squeak noise.

Thanks

ssk0771 ....

I swapped out my NISMO pads for the Project MU HC+ pads ...

Although I have only 225 miles on them .. my impression is the same as yours:

1/ a lot better bite and feel than my previous NISMO pads
2/ a little squeaking under mild braking (just like the NISMO) ... hardly noticeable IMO
3/ very little brake dust compared to NISMO ..

Summary .. highly recommended

Just installed B-force on My Z. Oem brakes were killing my rotors at 7500 miles. B-force feel much better, better bite, less dust. Only thing i dont like they have a light squeak under light braking.

Bad turn of events for me. It looks like the Project Mu B-force are to hard for the oem rotors they are eating my rotor uneven they dont grind they just squeak a lot. This just started to happend this afternoon. What do you guys think about this. The mechanic that did the install says it must be what i stated above but he will take a look Tomorrow.

TUNERZ33 ... This does not sound right .. how do you know the pads are eating your rotors uneven ? Any pictures ?

Light squeaking is normal for these pads ...

Just re-checked my rotors .. all looks good !

my pads have been sitting on my desk for a few days but no time to install them yet. hopefully it'll be done on saturday. i only got the front set of b-force pads for the brembos since my rear pads still look fine. does anyone think this might affect the brake balance?

I have tested the Level Max 900 in my last trackday at Varano circuit (Italy) , two turns , 20 minutes each....
My calipers & rotors are Brembo stock....
My impression...
No fading problems but the calipers warm very much ; the color of front calipers was changed from yellow to brown...
With the previous HC Titan Kay , no problems...
In any case , after trackday , the noise is terrible.....
Next month , trackday at Nurburgring , i'll install Project Mu rotors with HC + pads.....

I turned my rotors and added some CRC disc brake quiet and they keep squeaking bad. This only happends as the brakes get hot. I think ssk07 MU B-FORCE dont do this cause of his slotted rotors keep the brakes much cooler. Im tired of the loud squeakes everytime I brake so im just goin to try some hawks. If any body wants to buy some slightly used MU'S let me know. Front and rear for non-brembo.

That is possible but I don't think slotted rotors make rotors cooler. I think they get rid of the gas and water.

I actually have another update.

I barely have any squeaks now. For some reason, even at slow speed, I don't have any squeaks.

Before, I use to have a minor squeak few times a day at low speed but now I may have one, if that.

Anyone else with Project Mu B-Force that has major noise/squeak issue?

I installed Project Mu B-Force pads on my Brembo's and they squeak after warm up with light pedal pressure. They don't squeak cold nor if you brake hard. And yes I bedded them with a series of stops from 60 to 10 mph (about 8 times i believe). They do have great initial bite and dust is minimal compared to stock.

I'll keep them on for awhile and hope the squeak goes away. Hopefully it will be the same as ssk0771's experience.

Question for those with Project Mu NS pads: Do they squeak?

Default 6th month update!!!

It has been 6th month since I put Project Mu B-Force pads on my Z.
(both front & rear)

As I stated before, best pads I used so far.

Brakes still have good 50% left, maybe more (bought my car 2/04 and have 38K miles-gives you an idea how much I drive)

My rotors(Rotora Slotted) are holding up great. I don't see any abnormal or sever wear.

The Best news is I have almost no squeak. I may be have it 1 or 2 times a week.

As for performance: Still bites great with no loss of performance.

Dust: Little more than I originally thought. I would say it has about 20% more brake dust than Hawk HPS pads.

Noise: Almost non. 1-2 time a week.

I have the NS pads with SCR-Pro rotors...

Fronts are absolutley silent, no squeaks at all.

Rears sqeak bad at low speed while braking light. Anything above 5 MPH and there is no noise. Its strange.

I didnt put the metal shims from the stock pads back on the MU pads; could that cause the noise?

I can appreciate your long-term review. From the looks of it, it appears the MUs give off more dust as they wear out. However, if the dust is still less than stock and you still have all the performance you had since day one, I think you got your money's worth. I am in the market for a new set of pads. Your initial review and the very helpful updates have helped me make an informed decision.
PROPS!

i have had the project mu b-force pads on my front brakes for about 2 months now. the amount of dust is MUCH less than stock (though I can't compare them to other pads like the hawk hps since these are the only aftermarket pads ive ever had). I do get a slight squeeling from the pads once in a while during light breaking, but it's not too bad. They have a very good bite too. So overall I am happy with these pads.
