Default Quick Brake Question

I have about 25,000 miles on my car. I know it's time for new brakes. They started making noise the other day. They are even noisy when I do not have the brake pedal depressed. Is this normal? Do you think I need new rotors too? I am definately going with Hawk HPS pads this time. Thanks for the info.

I just changed mine out at 26k miles... The fronts were almost gone, but the back pads still had about 1/2 left. The noise you are referring to may just be the tires??? I could hear a roar from my tires, even without depressing the brake, but seemed worse under braking conditions...

Your rotors should be fine, but the Hawk HPS pads are definitely the way to go.... I installed them, along with new rotors, and can tell quite a bit of difference, as well as much less brake dust.

You can see pics of my setup here: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/118102-pics-of-my-new-wheels-rotors-and-painted-calipers.html
