Default Carbotech XP-10 review

First the car info: 04 Enthusiast with a Stoptech 332mm front BBK. Back brakes are stock except for removing the dust shield using Panther+ pads.
Next the track info: Grattan Raceway. Fairly easy on brakes except for the brake zone for turn one. In the dry, I brake from 145 to around 70 for the turn.
Finally the weather: Saturday, it was around 33 F and snowing. on Sunday, the track was dry and it was between 35 and 40 F. The sun came out right before my last session

And now the review: When its cold out, and the brakes are cold, there's not very much friction to slow the car. After one lap, even with the cold temperatures, the pads had enough temperature to provide an enormous amount of bite. I couldn't believe how well they worked. I had a ton of problems getting used to them, especially since I couldn't build any heat in my tires Saturday because of the wet track (from the snow) and the temperatures. Even on Sunday when the track was dry and the sun had come out, there's so much bite that the brakes overwhelm the street tires I was using. I'm really looking forward to trying the pads with R compounds later this year but I absolutely love the pads. These are the best track pads I've ever used. Absolutely no deposits and no fade. I love them!
