Default Lowering Spring reviews/info

I wasn't able to find a post specifically for lowering springs, so I'll start one. There are several springs out there, which ones are you guys using, which ones are the best for their intended purpose?

Also, there seems to be a split between "slightly lower" springs and "way lower" springs. The difference between .5" and 1.5" seems almost neglegable, but I'm assuming its a world of difference. I am trying to make my 18" factory wheels look a little better until I can afford some wheels, but I am unsure of how far I need to lower the car to get a dramatic look, and yet I don't want to scrape bottom on my daily drive. SO basically - How far is too far for the street-driver?

There are over 300 post about this topic already, but just for a quick review for you, IMO- max lowered 1 inch, prefered max for my taste- .75 inch. I love the hotchkis kit. good luck, BEN
