I am looking to upgrade to a big brake kit sometime this coming fall. I have narrowed my selection down to either the GReddy GREX or ENDLESS....
I am having trouble picking one over the other so I wanted to get other's opinions on these kits. Any help is great! Thanks in Advance!

Endless is used on the jgtc cars. they are pretty good.
Grex i havent seen on any real race cars.

I run zeal coilovers on my car
a endless by product and i love their stuff..
Functional but comes at a hefty price.
IF you can afford endless go w/ them for a front and rear kit.

Personally, AP Racing. Especially if you want racing heritage or ties to your car, there's nothing better. Even the Daishin Endless Z33 GT300 uses AP Racing calipers, along with about everyone else including the winning Zanavi NISMO, with Endless suppling the pads.

If this is a street vehicle and it won't see extreme track conditions (I mean true racing) ... just go ahead and get whatever you feel is a better fit for your car. The stock brakes will probably work just as good (fade not considered) ... your limits are your tires

I don't think I will do much, if any, track racing in this car. I hear great things from the Endless kits, but I love the look of the Chrome GREX calipers on their kit.

I am getting 19" iForged Aero (Black w/ Polished Lip) and this is the reason I think the chrome would look bad @$$ with these rims IMO!

Why do people rule out Brembo for aftermarket? Just curious because to me it would make sense when ordering replacement pads. You'd just select replacement parts for a Track model in that case wouldn't you? Pardon my ignorance her.

I am considering a BBK sometime in the future as well and Brembo just seems to be the easiest & most logical choice. What am I missing here?

Because most people want BLING to go with that new brake upgrade they spent a bunch of money on. Since the G35, STi and a lot of other cars are sporting Brembos now .. they don't seem exclusive enough.

That said, I love my stock Brembos and will surely be keeping them.

Maybe most people don't know this, but the GREX brakes are made by Alcon. They are one of the top brake manufacturers in the world. Greddy just slaps their logo on them.

Only one game in town ... Stoptech.

Best kit, best service, best pad selection. I have done full one hour sessions at Buttonwillow with no fade using a Stoptech 4-wheel kit with Performance Friction 01 track pads.

Great kit.

Chrome on brakes ...

Can't imagine something dumber. The heat generated by the calipers will dull that chrome out nice and quick. Give me a set and a few hours of track time and I am pretty sure I get them a nice deep shade poopy brown.

Go w/ endless. its been proven... and stoptech is pretty good but it isnt the end all to be all.. and endless calipers are forged and they have a great pad selection...

As for JGTC, the Amemiya RX-7 uses our ST-40 caliper on the rear, and got 3rd in the championship in 2004. http://www.jgtcusa.net/jgtc_teams_300.html

These are the same exact parts used on our street kits for the Z...not some souped up special race parts. Off the shelf parts that are completely streetable, and race capable.

We are also supplying brakes to OEM's. For example, all Toyota Racing Development brake kits are manufactured by StopTech.

Additionally, our prices are a lot more reasonable than the competition, as our replacement parts. You also have about 25 pad compounds to choose from when tuning the car to your needs. Our website has a wealth of technical info, wheel fitment charts, etc. You can call our customer service and get an answer as well...no wading through menus and trying to find a person to help...the list of benefits goes on.

That's my sales pitch.

I have no personal experience yet so I can't say, but IMO, stoptech is very overpriced considering how many cars they sponsor. i wouldn't feel okay paying for something that many cars got for free or on discount. nevertheless, i see them the most at the track (of common BBK's, other then brembo) and i've never heard complaints. see them a lot on 350z's, wrx's, porsches, minis, and many others.

ap racing (which owns brembo), brembo, and alcon all have great racing heritages. endless also does many endurance porsches and nissans in japan, i've heard good things. i don't particularly like the grex because of the finish. i see alcon brakes as something that should be simple and clean, professional, like a recaro seat. the chrome really turns me off.

if you want the BEST brake setup... it depends on exactly what you want to do with your car... go to brembo or ap racing's site, and you can find yourself water-cooled calipers, 8-piston, that fit under 15" wheels. have fun.
