Default Eibach USERS!!! some insight please!!

ok guys, i know there have been discussions of people using the eibachs on stock suspension.

my question is, to the guys that have used this set up for a long time, are you starting to get some knocking noise?

i know what a car sounds like when it bottoms out, and mine never does, but when i go through a parking lot for example, and there are some bumps, nothing serious, but as i go slow over them looking for a spot, i can hear like a knocking noise from the rear, its wierd.

when i'm on the road going 15 mph or more, the suspension still feels awesome and i have never bottomed out.

i have 30,000 miles now and with the suspension maybe 12,000 now.

are you guys experiencing the same thing?
do you think its time for new shocks?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be the progressive rear springs just hitting on themselves when they flex? I would also go back and check the bolts on top of the shock.

I will back your theory. Shocks are engineered to work at specific lengths of travel and with a pre-determined amount of support from the springs.

Typically when changing to stiffer springs one increases the damping/rebound of the shocks as well to better control the vehicle at the lower ride height. The stock shockers just aren't up to the task.
