Default Cryo treated brake rotors

So I finally bought the 14" Stoptech BBK and I've heard that you can cryo treat the rotors to make them last longer. For those that have had any experience w/ cryo treated brake rotors please chime in your opinions.

Cryoscience is a company that does cryo treatment.

I purchased some used Brembo rotors for my track model off the classified section of this board. They were lightly used and in good shape before I had them cryo treated in Boston. After the treatment, I had them lightly machined and my buddy said they 'cut' very smoothly and had a good surface. So far, I've had them on for over a year and at 5-6 track days. I can't vouch for the wear characteristics yet as I haven't had them off the car to mic them. But they certainly have worn in smoothly and I haven't had any problems since iinstalling them.

Back in school, my Properties of Materials teacher SWORE by cryotreating anything metal that will wear. Before he would assemble a motor, he would crate the whole thing and have it sent down. He said the bearings after a few races looked brand new with little to no wear.

Study a little on the subject, it makes perfect sense.

Thanks for your input. After investing $4k on the BBK, another $100 to cryo treat the rotors is not too bad if I can get more than 10 track days from them.
