Need help putting Koni's on
I did a search for installation instructions on putting a set of Koni's on and couldn't find one. Any help on the tools I will need, and instructions on the best way to do it. Also what settings for AUTO X and I already have a 350evo front sway in place. Thanks for any help.
I've used the guide located here and the install went very smoothly : http://www.solo2.org/blogs/christoc/...06/08/374.aspx . A word of advice, an impact wrench makes taking the top nut off of the shock assembly much easier. I also found the clearance to be really tight in removing and replacing the front shocks so I disassembled the two bolts holding in the a-arm to the chassis. I'm currently running 4.0 F/ 3.5 R and its noticeably stiffer than OEM but isn't gut wrenching over bumps. Make sure you torque everything back up to spec and good luck!

Just disconnect the front sway bar (actually, just disconnect the end links from the transverse bar). That way, the transverse bar will droop enough to be able to finesse the OEM struts out.
Even though I've got air tools, I did all of the work using hand tools, it's not that difficult at all (nothing should be so tight that you can't get it loose).

Nope. Its a bit tight but with your foot pushing down on the suspension you can swing the top of the unit forward and out from the wheel well. The top of the Konis is even longer so its even tighter, but not to bad. On the rear shocks make certain that the top mounts are set at the proper angle so that you will be able to access the adjustement location. Realize that the mount is at an angle to the access notch when installed.
As for settings I don't autoX but for road courses I use one full turn from soft in the front and two sweeps from soft in the rear, this is with my evo sways set both at full. Probably not the best setting for AutoX.

You'll still need the spring compressor to remove the springs from the OEM struts and put them on the Konis.
However you don't need the spring compressors to get the struts out of the car.
What I did was just leave one nut on the top just tight enough to keep the strut up in the top, then once I got the bottom of the strut over the transverse bar, I was able to just loosen that nut to drop the unit out of the car (and into my hand).
The rears are a snap to install -- it took me about 30 minutes to switch both (from OEM to Koni), and I was taking my time.

Thanks for all the help, hope it goes well, since I put that 350evo front sway in, It's been clunk clunk clunk when ever I hit the little bumps.
350evo front sway = less dates with hot chicks lol!!!
they don't think better handling car is worth the clunking
