Default springs with sway bars?

im looking to upgrade my Z's suspension, but not ready for a full coilover quite yet.. but am into the hilly and windy "spirited driving". im not really looking into upgrading to full coilovers until i put a 3.9 final drive on there in 2 or 3 years when warranty is gone... for now, should i upgrade the OEM sways to have less body roll for the car along with the springs? im looking at some tanabe springs right now, and am thinking of getting their hollow sways... what does everyone think? any first hand experience with a good set of springs or sways?

IMO...best bang for the buck is the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 Kit. Comes with (Linear) Sports Springs .8"-1" drop all around & Adjustable Sways which will run you about $375 for the SET. Now, it all depends on how low you want to go. Obviously, these don't lower your car like some others out there but the positive is that you won't need to get any aftermarket camber arms to get you back in spec.

This is a good idea, but i dont know too well of Hotchkis' reputation... and when i do upgrade coilovers, will these sway bars still handle the job well?

These sways should handle fine. Some of the track folks are using this same setup. I'd go to the track section & ask for yourself. The top 2 as far as sway bars IMO are the Hotchkis & the 350EVO's. Hotchkis primarily made parts for Domestic Muscle cars & have been in the business for a long while now. They just recently got into the Import Scene.
