Default ? for tokico d-spec owners - about to install mine

i bought a set of tokico d-spec shocks used from a member here. He told me he was going to send me the adjustment tool thingy, but all I got were the 4 shocks and a hex head nut. I was told I can make the adjustment with the hex head nut, but i'm not sure how. When I screw the hex head nut on the shock I can turn it to the right to make it stiffer, but if I turn it to the left it just unscrews, so the shock doesn't get less stiff.

Am I an idiot for not figuring out how to make the adjustments properly?

Also I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the manual that came with the shocks online? I could not find it on tokicos website.

Last question, I was wondering if anyone has any settings they would recommend? I have hotchkies springs and sways, and like to auto-x so I dont mind if it's a bit stiff for street driving.

thanks sooo much.
