Default How to Adjust Front Toe myself?

I would like to do it myself just by eye to get it more aligned. Right now my front tires are toed out.

Where do you adjust it and how?

at the tie rod ends...

how? a straight edge, a completely level ground and some string.

Why not just get an alignment?

It seems like everytime I get my toe adjusted, it ends up toeing back out.

If I could do it myself, I'd save losing my car for a day at Firestone.

That's the only part of the alignment I'm concerned about, everything else is fine.
