Default So, my car is going to be stupid low. Do they make frame sliders for Z's?

LOL

I'm not sure what they are called, but is there something I can put on the under body of the Z so that if I scrap, it scrapes the "slider" and not the underbody parts e.g. y pipe, etc. ?

I guess it would be like a frame slider for the Z?

If not, I guess I just have to drive carefully ::shrugs::

how low are you going. Cause right now my car is approx 3 inches lowered from stock. At this height. The plastic covering the rear is approx 1 inch from the floor. My exhaust is almost resting on the floor and my front mudguards have about 1 3/4 inch off ground. So far i've already broken 1 test pipe, 1 y pipe, and 1 stock exhaust. Be prepared to feel the hurt

I'm going about 2.5" or so. I still want reasonable driveability due to my future body kit.

I want to do it with the HKS coilovers or even the Megan's look good. If I'm careful I should be fine right? I want the rears to tuck a very very little bit a la e46 m3's, and the front to be right on the tire. I want the car to be absolutely flat, should be SICK.

Dude, my car is stock, and with the New JP front bumper, I'm scraping a little bit. I can't even lower it now, and trust me I am very careful. O, Just get the HKS, you'll like those more.

or you can get the zeals.
even at my current height i could lower the zeals almost another 1/2-3/4 inch. Believe me if you live in an area that has any speed bumps you will not make it though. I have to plan where i drive very carefully

AutoRND is right. Be prepared to feel the hurt. My z is dumped at least 3" on 19" volks and my ride scrapes against speedbumbs like a b---h! You can literally feel the cement underneath your butt grinding away morsel, by morsel. I've cracked 2 test pipes, and 1 y-pipe already. If you ain't willin to cough up the dough, don't go that low! Ideally, I would love to drop my z another 1/4 to 1/2".

Kto i feel the hurt.
And get this. I will be throwing on a vertex body kit in the near future. So i might actually raise the car 1/4 inch. Being low is great but the logistics behind it are ridiculous. Not being able to attend meets or being able to go to car shows cause there is a bump.

right now i am about 3.25 inches lower than stock and scrape every where, speed bumps find another way around but it does look sick.

good luck. im running hks rs setup and took out the adjustments in the rear to achieve maximum dumpage (the fronts are down to the bottom) while running twenties [rezax II's]. cant go a lot of places, i dont think there are frame sliders, under carriage is screwed, functionality is gone, but it looks damn good...drive slow homie~

Yeah, my underbody scrapes now, dropped about 1.5" I think. Looking for about a 2" drop--not as low as you guys, but still there will be issues.

I hate the scraping sound =( it breaks my heart when I hear it.

Oh well, gotta pay to play, and for the look f it..it looks GANGSTA!

Since you are going to run coilovers, have you ever thought of the Roberuta cup kits? I think they should be highly useful for most of you guys complaining of scraping.

Its pretty expensive, but you are still able to retain the uses of your coilover. It's in the 2500 range just for the front alone. Heres a link anyway:

Why not hydraulics? Just raise yourself up and down to clear the road bumps and parking lot entrances?

Hydraulics have a sort of stigma for me, Paul. I'm thinking air-strut, much more sophisticated ahha.

You can put 6 batteries in the trunk and power the electric supercharger while you're at it.
