help, something is wrong with my z
ok, im a new z owner, and i have no idea what this is. before my z had tight handling, it was awesome, but one day i got in and something was wrong. the back is really loose, and if i gun it going straight it feels like the back end drifts and pulls to the right. i looked and the shock mounts and stuff are fine but i dont know anything about anti sway bars and stuff like that. im used to bagged up vehicles so this is a new thing for me. any help would be awesome, last thing i want to do is take it to the stealership, and if i do, i dont want to take it to them and be like..."i dont know what it is, its all floaty". they will prolly just make it worse.

VLSD requires that wheel spin occur BEFORE is can attempt to stiffen up and rain in the offending tire. And even then, it does not have high capacity to hold back.
So the question I have is this. Do your feelings of the chassis also extent to matters that have nother to do with the throttle?
n when im just turning the back feels loose, its not loosing traction, it just floats, ive fished and drifted the back end, this is way different, its like the rear floats, but the tires stick
This may not be your problem, but it sounds VERY similar to what happened to my z. Does the back end feel loose and wobbly all the time (even going straight, but with the usual steering wheel inputs), and it makes you think something is about to fall off the car (like the whole bak end)? Have you heard unusual sounds from the rear (creaking)?
Check the rear springs and make sure that one has not rotated in place. At the bottom of the spring holder (whatever the heck that's actually called), there is a rubber mount that has a spiral shape to it to fit the bottom of the spring - I had installed S tune springs, and i guess one wasn't seated quite right (maybe not), and rotated out of place over time (or just rotated on its own even with correct placement). Gave the symptoms I described above.
The easiest way to check this is to take the wheel off and look at how the spring is sitting - I don't remember if I was able to check it with the wheel on.
