right now im running axxis ultimates. they arnt bad for the money but i only switched to them from nismo because they came with a stage 2 upgrade kit from stoptech. since they are about to wear out ill probably go back to nismo. both are good and provide less dust. another popular pad is the Hawks HPS. they fall somewhere along the lines of the other two with maybe a little bit less bite. they are fairly quite until they get half way worn and they start to squeel a little bit more than the rest imo.
so cheapest axxis then hawks then nismo. all 3 are common for the Z/ there are different pads out there but i only have experience with those 3 brands

Axxis Deluxe plus is actually quieter and less dust than the Axxis Ultimates. They don't have as much bite, but they're cheaper.
Hawk HPS is also an excellent choice, but a little more $ than the Deluxe Plus. All options can be found on our website or at any of our authorized resellers: http://www.stoptech.com/user/searchproducts.asp

I heard the PBR Ultimate ceramics are the same as the Axxis Ultimates. Is that true? Anyways the PBR's worked very well for my rear pads. I get 3 high speed track days out of them. That is the most any rear pads have lasted for me for track events. Price is good also. For the front I use Pagids but I have Stoptech BBK.
