TeinFlex / EDFC settings...I'm confused

I am confused I thought that the higher the settings in the EDFC the harder the Springs are but now after reading the manual again it says that The damping force is highest at 0 and softest at 16....
Is it correct that the harder the dampening force the softer the springs or is it the harder the dampening force the harder the springs????

Yes - zero is the hardest and 16 is the softest setting on the EDFC.
Are you still drag racing? If you are try - zero on the rear and 8 on the front. Your weight transfer on lanch will be so much faster that I bet you notice a difference in times. I don't drag race, just road race - so I set mine at zero in front and 8 in the rear (helps your front tire grab faster on a turn, and you can lay on the power earlier on the exit of a turn).
And if you haven't had your car corner weighted yet, do it! You will be suprised at the difference.

mrtomcat - you have got to stop buying the same stuff I have.
The fun of EDFC - is you get to change it on the fly to see what works best. The last road race I was at - I was changing the setting as I drove the coarse more and more. I found the perfect setting for that coarse, while I was driving. The next step would be to find three settings for a coarse, and change it for each turn/straight away.
About drag racing - I spent two hours on the dyno the other day. We actually messed around with the EDFC while on the dyno. You could see the torque come up almost instantly when the setting was on zero, and a much more linear torque curve with the setting at 16. Pretty cool to see the difference.

A softer front setting and stiffer rear setting should help to reduce the understeer that the Z is notorious for. By setting the front stiffer I would expect your understeer to be worse??
