Default for those with stoptech stage 2 kit...

i installed my kit today and noticed the painted areas on the rotor are to prevent rusting, but the pad doesn't use the entire surface of the rotor. This is normal correct? Doesn't that part rust? This is regarding the front rotors, I'm not sure bout the rear since I haven't gotten to that part.

I have the same kit and the part of the rotor that is non-swept but coated black to prevent rusting, is rusting! I have rings of rust around my rotors and its a real eye sore.

Just chrome some new rotors and trailer your car everywhere you want to pose with it.
There is nothing you can do , some climates just rust a bit more than others.

No posing necessary! I dont give a crap about what others think of my car, its an eye sore for me since I am so ****-retentive about my baby. Besides the average person wouldnt notice it and I bought the Z because it is the best perfomance bang for the buck, not so I could pose with it to try and impress people.

spray it again, not worring about getting in on the rotor itself, the pads will "wipe off" any excess & will leave the rest coated...
