Question Caliper question

I need some help please. Any advice or if someone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I am planning on repainting my brake calipers this weekend before my G2 paint goes bad. Last time I painted them I left them on the car and just taped off what I didn't want painted. Some parts of the caliper didn't get painted.

Could anyone tell me how to remove them so I can do a better job painting them? Also, how hard is it? I've never done anything involving the brakes.

Thanks!

Which brakes does your G has? Brembos or "regular"?

They are the "regular" ones. Here's a pic of how they look now, but I'd like to do a better job on them.

1- Remove the smaller screw holding the caliper to the sliders on the bracket. (Torqued to 17-22 ftlb)
2- Loosen the flare nut of the brake line (these are delicate and torqued to 13-14 ftlb only). Brake fluid will drain out, unless you can plug the line.
3- Take the caliper out.
4- Remove the 2 bigger screws holding the bracket to the knuckle (torqued to 113-114 ftlb (!) )

You're done

I have never done anything like this before, so I'm a little nervous about messing w/ the brake line. I'm sure there are some important things I need to know before doing this, or should I just forget it and touch them up w/o removing the calipers? Any suggestions would help.

It's nothing complicated really.

Do it, and you'll realize it wasn't that hard.
