6-Pot Stoptech 14.1 Fitment
Hey guys, Just ordered these for my 05 and was wondering if anyone has them with the 18" LM GT4's. I'm running the 9.5" all around and want to make sure the 6 pots will fit witin the wheel. StopTech details how to make the stencil online to verify...but call me lazy.
Also, if anyone has any reviews of these that would be great. I track my car quite a bit and was curoius which pads people run at the track.

hey John-
i just picked up my 6pot on Wednesday, install probably middle of next well, i also have the LMGT4s and i'll let you know. i've been told from stoptech, that the pad clearance on the 6 pot are actually better than the 4piston, so i dont think it'll be an issue-..
as for the pads for the 6piston.. oh boy.. i used to run the Pagid Oranges on the ST40.. but now howard @ stoptech said the oranges doesn't exist for the 6 piston, here is a comparison.
Hawk DTC-70 race pads, st-40:$254 vs St-60:$347
PFC 01 , st-40:$305 vs. St-60:$500
i'll post picts of the install next week.. when you installing yours?

I know I saw the price of the pads too. Kind of a bummer, I might go with a different pad for the track. I just ordered the brakes last week so they said it may be 3 weeks until they are together. They also said the 6-pots should fit w/ no probalem on the 18" LM's. Let me know how your install goes.

update,
the 6 pistons are in.. oh boy. they look nice.. they clear LMgt4s. easily.
install was fairly simple.. the Hawk ceramic pads that it came with needed some sanding of the backing material for it to fit correctly. approx 0.5mm-1mm needed to be removed from the SIDEs of the backing plate in order for it to slide in.. other than that, no issues... the ceramic pads took me longer to heat up than the axxis metal masters.. i think i need to re-bed the pads again some other time, but they do feel great-.. overall stopping power is about the same as the ST40s. i didnt feel any adverse affects from the swap.

Cool. Sounds like it went smoothly. Stoptech quoted me 6 weeks for my 6-pots. So I think I may cancel and get the 6-pot APs today with the 14.3" rotor. Will let you know....BTW, what color is your car and what color caliper did you get? The AP's come in red w/black lettering or Black with yellow lettering. My car is white, so am going with the red APs....

Wanted to add to this thread also. I just got 18" TE-37 +22 all around and they work with the 14.25" 6-pot AP Racing kit perfectly.
I don't have pics because the gf took both cameras on her trip to China. I'll buy camera later at Costco and post.

i have a DB Z and red calipers..
the 6 pot looks so bling with my gunmetal TEs....

Chebosto - Are you certain that you have the rotors on correctly? I thought that the sweep on the holes at the top on the rotors out from the center was to be toward the back of the car, not toward the front.

Our slots/drills slant forward at the top of the rotors in order to keep the slots perpendicular to the directional internal vein structure. His rotors are installed correctly.
