Default Planning to lower my Track..

Is it me or does the 03 track model already look a little lower than the rest of the other trims?

Would I see significant change in drop geting h&r springs for the car?

Anyone with pics on h&r springs?

Thanks!

All trim level's are the same. Can't say that I've ever seen anyone speak up before that any certain model "looks" lower. But if you sense's are telling you that I won't argue other then pointing out the above.

Would a H&R drop be significant, yes a 1.3/1.0 drop would be. And your after drop alignment settings will not be in spec in the front, which ironically is the most expensive to correct. Though some people want more aggressive specs and are ok with quicker wearing of the insides of their front tires. If you do go with that kind of a drop, it's very important to trim the front bumpstops because you'll end up with secondary issues if you don't caused by the stops bouncing off the tops of the shocks during normal driving.

I don't know what kind of a drop you need to be pleased appearance wise, but IMO for car's with 03/04 shocks I would recommend Hotchkis springs. You'll get a .6”/.8” drop which generally will allow the car to be within oem alignment specs and springs that were specifically designed to help kill off the bounce issues that 03/04 shocks are known for.

Great reply! Very informative.

Would know or happen to have pics of Z on hotchkis springs?

I'm just looking for a gapless fender to wheel look.

This is my Z in stock height right now..

Would anyone know any springs that would eliminate that gap?

Here's my '05 with the revised suspension rates. The back wheel gap is still a little high for my taste. But it rides really well. Very stiff spring rates. I wil be putting in Tokico D-specs in a couple of months....after my trip to asia.

Try using the search function--you'll find the answers to most all of your lowering/suspension questions and many product reviews from members who have used the products. Good luck.
