"Independent front & rear multi-link aluminum suspension" - www.nissandriven.com
Sounds like it is going to be the same basic design as the G35. Saw a review on it on MotorWeek tonight on Speed Channel. I think they said that the springs are separate from the shocks in the rear.
(OT - in their test the G35 sedan, did 0-60 6.2, 1/4 mi. 14.8)

I was hoping the suspension elements might be a little more sophisticated than McPherson struts, say double A-arms with coil-over-shocks or something.
I guess the struts are just too simple and inexpensive for any manufacturer to consider anything else.

The Z does not have Mac struts. Macpherson struts are not the best suspension design but they do a good enough job and don't take up much space. Multilink gives much more flexibility in design and allows for great handling without making the ride too stiff and uncomfortable. They take up more room but it's worth it.
