The rear shocks on the 350Z D-specs have 1" shorter body/piston lengths, the front units are the same length.

hmm... it sounds like you have no idea of what you want even though many people have been suggesting alot of good options. i say just write the choices you have on a piece of paper, close your eyes then point to a random spot, open eyes and there's your decision. nah nah j/p

I would normally be in the side of meeting a need at the lowest possible cost, I don't like it when someone else say's get coilovers when a shock and spring setup will meet that person's needs. But their's one big catch to what he's after. Insuffecient bump travel and a spring choice that isn't going to offer that much help because they aren't too much stiffer then oem (and let's not forget that they are progressive so part of that travel will likely be on less then oem rates).

I have D-spec 350Z springs sitting in my garage that I ran with my Koni's as a test, I pulled them because of bump travel issues. I know that D-spec's can be dialed in stiffer then the koni's can, that's where I can see the combo working.

350Z D-spec shock and spring setup will drop your coupe 1.5". If your want more drop then that, your really looking at coilover's.

Also, Bilstein Pss coilovers come to mind, not just HKS RS and Tein CS. All of which I believe Adam can get you.

thanks guys, actually at first my main goal was to just drop it without sacrificing handling, tire wear, and oem feel. so i figured that if i'm going to do it, then i'm going to do it right the first time. i'm sure coilovers would be that choice. however, i don't even know if there are springs that can drop me as much as coilover can. HSK's can go 3", what spring can do that? and the shock can handle?

i road in Herbs car with buddy club on the stiffest setting, and it didn't seem too bad at all, not that much different and definatly tolerable, and on the stiffest. he also recommended hsk ls.

i'm 350z s-techs right now and i think that was around a 1.5" drop, and i definatly want more....

Man everythings so expensive!! i'm only 19! (don't flame, and yes that would explain my grammar, heh)

You cannot get the handling and oem feel you want with the drop amount you need with a shock and spring setup. Ok well, their is a way to do it, problem is it would cost more then any of the coilovers that are rolling around in your head.

Go big or go home
Go custom OHLINS! j/k

If you liked the ride in Herbs car, go with Herb's setup.
