Default nismo s-tune suspension - do i need alignment

I think I read somewhere that if you have the Nismo suspension installed, you dont need to get an alignment. I find this kind of hard to believe though.

Also, someone recommended that I get the alignment done at a certain place but I couldnt set up an appointment until Aug. 19th..... This will be two weeks since having the adjustment put on. I drive probably 60 miles a day to and from work so my question is, can I wait until then to do the alignment or should i just get it done somewhere else where I could take the car in this weekend. If I wait until the 19th, am i going to have some serious tire feathering and screw up my tires? BTW, i just have the stock 18's and tires on there for a 06 Enthusiast Z.

It might be better to take it in 2 weeks from the install - it'll let the springs and everything else settle in. How much is it lowered...I don't think nismo's are lowered more than 1", so a few weeks shouldn't hurt anything.

Nismo is 0.8" so it doesn't cause camber issues like other, even lower springs, but it's always a good idea to get it checked out. If your alignment is good right now, two weeks won't hurt anything, as it will only be off by a little if at all.

Thanks People. Makes me feel much better about waiting 2 weeks until the alignment!

BTW, I am really really enjoying the set up with the nismo suspension and sways. I didnt want to lower it too much so i think this was perfect. Cant wait to get some 19's on!

Lovin the Nismo exhaust too!

I had the nismo springs/sways installed about a month ago and had my alignment done. It wont throw the specs off too much, but you will want to get one done eventually. I must say after getting the proper alignment, it rides and tracks much more stable. I'm very happy with the setup.

I think it only lowers .6". I really feel as though my car looks lower now relative to when I first got it. Maybe the springs settled? Or maybe placebo effect.

The NISMO Suspension does not lower the car to the point where it changes the stock center of gravity but getting an alignment after you lower your car is always ideal. I recommend getting them to all our customer no matter how low or how high of a drop you go with.

Is this true with after-market wheels as well?
I have 19/245/35 and 19/275/35.

thanks

Yes, after any modification to the suspension it's highly recommended to get an alignment.

You might even do it after upgrading to bigger wheels without lowering to make sure that everything still is in spec. However, this is not a must as there should be no modification made to the suspension.
