The history of aligning the Z is that at drops go past .8", fewer and fewer owners will pop up and claim they aligned to within spec. With a 1/1.2" drop, the odds are down even further. At the very least you should consider the SPC rear camber arms and toe cam bolts kit. I'd add sway bars to help keep you off the insides of the front tires just to say it.

The Tanabes are definitely a "safe" drop. They are by far our most popular springs to sell and Andy uses them on his car. I've driven his car multiple times and they're a very nice quality product. Tanabe GF210

I have the GF210's on my car and I'm getting ready to take it in for an alignment, we'll see how close they can get it. My brother also uses the GF210's on his Z and the shop said they were able to get it "close" to factory specs (camber is still a little out). I'll post up my alignment sheet after it is done.

***UPDATE***

Finally got my alignment done! They were able to get it almost back into spec with the factory adjustment points.
