Default for those with cusco a-arms...

did you install them yourself, and did you have to drop the front coilover setup. it looks like it can be done without dropping the suspension. TIA.

No, you need to drop the front shocks in order to get access to the bolts that connect the a-arm to the chasis. It's really no huge deal though. Just get a jack and put it under the suspension assembly. Undo the three 12mm nuts at the top of the shock tower. Slowly drop the jack and the shock will go down. Now you'll have plenty of room to switch the a-arms. I have the cusco arms right now but will be taking them off for SPL arms this weekend. My cuscos will be in the classifieds soon.

I like to go to the track and the camber adjustment on the cuscos are limited to 5 preset settings whereas the SPL's are more "infinite". Plus the SPL's are easier to adjust between the street and track.

go to the multilink section under z33 suspension.

The cusocs have 5 settings that are 4mm each. Each setting is a 0.5 deg change in camber. 1 is the same as stock, 1 positive, and 3 negative. I had mine at one negative below the stock position.

Pic taken from the original Z1 classified:

The arm pictured is set to the "0" position that theoretically is the same as stock. I run them full positive for street use, which would be with the adjustable portion set all the way to the outer part of the arm. It kind of depends how low your car is and how much more - camber you want to add for track use. If you are slammed, full negative might be too much and adversely affect braking. I run them 1 setting from full negative which on my car is about 3 degrees and it seems to work out pretty well. They are fairly easy to change back and forth and I like the preset adjustments because you know exactly where you are at.

It's been a while since I installed them, but I am pretty sure I had to drop the suspension. The bolts that hold the arms on are LONG. It partly depends on how the bolts will hit your current suspension. I had stock springs at that time and was able to get 1 bolt on each side out (it fit between coils of the sping) without touching the suspension. The other bolt ran right into a coil and there was nothing I could do about it.

I see. Like dklau33 said, there is only 1 positive adjustment that will get you about .5 degrees. Hopefully you aren't too far out from stock as is. These arms seem to work better for those of us who want more negative camber for track use rather than to add positive camber for street use.

I am lowered at LEAST one inch on HKS LS+ coilovers and with my Cusco arms set to the most positive setting I get -1.5 camber in the front. Which BTW is in factory spec.

yeah i know, ive been lowered about 1.5 inches, and i realized my front tires are shot, so i raised it half an inch, bought new tires, and these arms, i got them for a good price and just need a little more pos camber.

this is not the case - it completely will depend on your wheel and tire package.

YUCK Those SPL parts are utter crap! If you can't afford to upgrade to good quality parts (such as the 350 EVO or Performance Nissan Arms) don't bother downgrading!

SPL, Nams, Cusco, Nagisa, Kinetix and Stillen are ALL CRAP IMO!

They use crap low grade hardware and steel. Cheap 2 piece cast rod ends and even cheaper rubber bushes. You would be much better off with the stock arm (forged aluminum) which is stronger and lighter.

If your car is too low and your tires wear out unevenly, too bad!

If you need more negative camber, buy the good stuff!

im not buying them for weight, im buying them for what they are made for, camber adjustment.

when was the last time you heard of them falling apart. and cusco has a great reputation for making quality parts, they are far from crap. maybe some of the other brands you listed.

worry about your own car.

Both us (SPL) and Stillen use 4130 chromoly tubing, which is NOT low grade steel. The rod ends we use on the 350Z arms are QA1 forged chromoly Endura series rod ends, these rod ends retail for about $25 EACH (there are 6 on a pair of arms, so $150 worth of rod ends on each set). There are no 2 piece cast rod ends on our 350Z arms.
