Default JIC FLTA2 coilover Suspension, how are these?

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a coilover system and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the JIC FLTA2 Suspension. How are they, and how does it rank with the Tein Flex?

depends what you are using them for and what your budget is

As a track coilover they work well; for the street, they are not comfortable.

Same goes for the Flex - good units, but for the money, especially once you factor in the EDFC, you can do alot better.

What if you changed out the springs to something a little softer, say 8kg all around?

You could but then I think you'd have to have the shocks revalved to accomodate the new spring rate. Or you could special order the JDM spec Flex with the 10kg springs F/R. Explore other options out there that are more suited for the street and yet decent or okay for the occasional track day. HKS RS and Cusco Zero2 come to mind right away as well reviewed systems for that purpose.

Rough on the street (but you get used to it) great for hard driving...I dunno if Id spend $1800 on these again though.

If you do buy them new get them with the g35 hard rubber rear shock mounts. I have the rear progressive/soft 10/10 set up and for street use its rough and for a bumpy track its rough. for the same money its ohlins or kw or truechoice, IMO. I would not buy them again given the state of most roads. Thats just my opinion, some people love them. Although if I lived in a place where the roads were smooth, my car does drive just the way I like it.

Not a choice I would consider even if the cost was low to zero. Not based on valving, spring rates, warranty, reliablity and the fact that other products can be had at or near the Jics price point that don't have as many points I cannot overlook. I do wish that other companies would adapt their neat trade-in program.
