Default Tein Super Racing Review

coilover came 2 days ago and installed yesterday. The dampering just came out in the market like 2 months ago or so. Took a month to get here but it's well worth it. It comes with 12kg spring front and rear. I dropped it a inch for both the front and rear. At first i thought the ride is gonna be really harsh since these coilovers were designed very simliar to their N1 line, which is a track only coilovers. But it wasnt as bad as i thoguht it would be. I had my dampering and rebound set to 6-6.There is 14 adjustment each for rebound and compression. It's kinna odd that they recommend 6-6 setting for track use while on the street they recommend 12-12. ( 16 being the hardest setting.) At the 6-6 setting the comfort is around the same as JIC's FIAT. I didnt really take the coilover to the limit yet but so far on the street I can tell performance wise it's above the JIC's. Off the highway ramp the suspension was rock solid. I turn on around 30 kph more easliy on the same highway ramp with these coilovers over the stock ( i've sat in one on the track). The damper allows for 2 EDFC, one for rebound and one for compression ( i didnt get that option though, too costy) I have pics of the coilover but it's at the shops computer. I'll post those up in a day or 2. Also heading to Motosports track this friday so i can test the coilover futher and fine tune the suspension and get even more of out it.

I've asked the shop to send me the pics of the install but they are pretty busy lately so I havent gotten it yet. I'll get them this weekend. I tracked it after getting it on and I can say it works like wonder. Turn in was alot better compare to stock, pretty stable mid turn and i was able to accerlate out of a turn ALOT faster compare with stock. Understeers a bit on my setting, so as of now it needs some fine tuning. The setting i used was the one that Tein recommended in the manual for track racing. (6/6 rebound and compression all around. setting 16 being the softest). Comfort wise, these things are not as harsh as I thought it would be. Pretty sensitive to road surfaces. I've raced against another 350z on that track that day. His car had the Flex, headers, exhaust, Advan 048 R compound tires, upgrade brake pad and lines. Mine has motordyne plenum and spaver, arc intake and coilovers. I was able to catch up to him and get right on his tail for 5-6 laps, till tires went overheated and brakes and such.
